OMG! That would be awesome - a phone that's a GPS Navigation that you could load where you're going in the phone with relevant picture pointers 'you are now passing MacDonalds on your right handside' and picture flashes up on your phone of the location taken by another user of Googlemaps... while you're driving in the car...
That's way more than I thought the iPhone would be... if it is the iPhone.
If it is then Apple will have pulled another 'miracle of modern technologies' off!
I think this is good thing!

"What I want to know is who are the 3 idiots who disliked this topic "
i suspect the same guys sitting in their cubicles with not much on their minds and too much time on their hands who have become self anointed experts in all things anti-apple
My thoughts exactly! ;)

More inputs! I'd love to have an ACD hooked up to an :apple:tv in my living room, and one hooked up to a Wii in my bedroom, etc. At the moment my best option is a 27" Dell... I'd love to have Apple styling instead.
I'm right there with you on this one. Please add some more inputs. HDMI!

I like the new design (but now the forum pages look outdated).
It's funny because I've been popping over here off and on for the past few hours in my surfing and just now the new design came up.
The first thing I was gonna ask was what the big empty space at the top of the first page was... then I remembered.

A handy link is this one (http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?month=1&day=15&year=2008&hour=9&min=0&sec=0&p1=224) from timeanddate.com, which shows a wide range of cities.
I'll add that link to my main post.
You forgot the most important time zone:
1:30 - Newfoundland
I'll add that time to my main post aswell.
EDIT: Before I add it, is that PM or AM?

This. Reason #435,681 why live view should not be on an SLR.
Oh please. I use liveview for plenty of professional work, and just as much personal work.
Articulating screens? Now THOSE should stay off my dSLR.

You're supposed to pay tax on your profits (not sales totals) from selling on eBay or other venues.Does ebay send you a form to show you how much you earned or are sellers responsible on their own?

I have a 2006 mini I use as an HTPC, the fan is louder than I'd like it to be but it's running at a normal RPM so there's not much I can do about it. My sister has a 2010 mini and I noticed it's much quieter than mine, nearly silent. So I was wondering if anyone knows if the fan model used in the 2010 would work in a 2006?
Maybe you already tried this, but I have a 2005 mini and I opened it yesterday, because I never did it and was curious. Ofcourse there was a bunch of dust inside it and after giving it a quick blowthrough it was much quieter. Probably means you 1) need less RPM to cool sufficiently (although you said it's running at normal frequency), and 2) less noise will be generated at the same RPM level. Get some decent pressured air (canned or perhaps some sort of pump) and you'll get probably better results than I did.
If you (like I did) never cleaned it, it's only to be expected that your mini makes more noise than your sisters.

Very glad to see this isn't just me. :-) I noticed this on my iPhone 4 the other night and after a couple times quitting iPhoto and iTunes in random orders I got it to sync correctly. Then I plugged in my iPhone last night and it messed it all up again, same with my iPad. I disabled photo syncing on both until this gets fixed, so now I'll be checking for updates daily. When you have a library of 10,000+ pictures that are updated almost daily, events getting messed up like this is such a big hassle. :p

Yeh, some manufacturers are making it harder to Root, but Root DOESN'T equal Jailbreak. The Android os (speaking on 2.3) has built in hotspot, built in widgets, built in moving backgrounds, built in customizable screens, built in facebook, built in lock screen custimization, built in keyboards, systemwide voice activation, etc. There are things that people want to jailbreak for, and in Android OS you don't have to ROOT to do any of that.
yeah, i totally understand what you're saying. android definitely does a lot more straight out of the box than the iphone does. but i guess for me, if i had an android device i'd really like to be able to flash some really cool builds and kernels a lot of the guys at xda-dev release (like we all used to do in the old winmo days) that way i don't have to worry when the manufacturer quits releasing updates after ~6 months and i get stuck on an old os. i just hate the fact those manufacturers are trying to prevent that type of community from doing their thing. i don't think its what google wanted android to be about.

I just put iTunes on a PC. I also have a Mac. :D
My question is I have some songs on the PC that are windows media files I think. How do I import them into iTunes? I tryed doing the import and finding the songs but they did not show as if they were not there?
Or how can I convert those windows media files to a MP3 file?
Man I like my Mac much better. :D
Thank You
Jeff

Sup guys,
Ive got a iphone 3gs that my friend gave me to JB and Unlock. Its running IOS 4.2.1 and i wanted to restore to 4.3.2 for a fresh start to JB. When I tried to restore kept giving me (1015) error messages, I also tried the restore on a Mac and another Win7. Ive been researching on the Internet for the past 3 days! I downloaded so many programs its not even funny. I tried ~~~ Reb00tMee - iReb - Blackra1n - Recboot - iRecovery - TinyUmbrella - LibUSB - and also tried to downgrade iTunes and do all that - and many other things!! :o:o:o:o:mad:
Plz help me on this!
P.S. The symbol that the iphone is stuck on is the `Connect to iTunes` AND I AM NOT TRYING TO DOWNGRADE I AM JUST TRYING TO DO A REGULAR RESTORE. Ive done many JB's as well.
HELP!~!~!

Yeah, I read both links but still don't really know what's going on haha. All I know is that it is for a good cause, so I'm down. Plus, their not testing on animals so it's a big plus for me.

Anyone know if the UM computer showcase will have it on launch day? I like the apple store, but not enough to drop an extra $50. Yes, I'm a student.
If you go to the site it says shiping on the 26th eta on the 1st. I guess I will be ordering from there for 69.

Would it be better t o try and do this off of a memory stick? How many gigs would I need?
By games I'm talking about mostly casual games with small clients and low GPU usage...
Memory stick is still USB so it would still be contrained and probably not perform well.
I have Windows 7 Ultimate in 11 gig as I recall using Parallels. Not a whole lot of space. You'll need much more if you will run games.

They have a limit one per person per day. So if you buy 1 you have to come back tomorrow to buy another. Also, you cant hold item. First come first serve.
I was there 7.40 am yesterday to get mine. Store opens at 8 everyday.
So you can find out if they have them before they open?

I would prefer not having to ship it, thusin the Montreal area but I'll see how it goes. I'll post more info on it shortly when I actually go back to the lab. I just want someone to get some use out of it, rather than have it in a landfill somewhere.
