I have been a Windows Phone user since day 1 when it was launched and to be honest, Microsoft beat Apple at their own game. Making a shiny awesome looking software. To be honest, because of WP I am sure I won't by any other OS. I mean, all other OS(s) look so 2007 now, especially the iPhone.I just can't buy anything else, it feels outdated.
In the end, I sold my WP (HTC HD7) in late February because of the ****** battery (yes..1230 mAh in a 4.3" screen !! but I didn't expect to be that crap) and my next touchscreen phone would a Nokia WP, that coming somewhere in mid 2012 at eariest ..
Anyway, my point is to do not underestimate Zune. It's a very good software, modern. It's just that Microsoft is ..well..not very good with marketing I guess..

Looks like the NGP can be a game changer
And with Sony intentionally taking a hit on every sale it could easily be $250-$300

It seems like only the US will be getting this phone if it happens.
The US Mobile phone network is antiquated compared to the rest of the world (well most of it) who are embracing the second generation of 3G (http://www.nextg.com.au/, http://www.three.com.au) ). At best this apple phone is rumoiured to be GSM... It may have the music player capabilities to die for but if I can't use it to make free video calls with my wife I am not interested. I hope I am wrong and they are looking at the rest of the world too.
http://www.t-mobile.com/ seems pretty ho hum in this day and age.

If this means that I can burn iTMS DRM'ed video content to a DVD and play it back in my home DVD player, I'm all for it. I might actually purchase iTMS video content then. I have a 23 inch Apple monitor, but it's not the same as watching the movie in the living room. As soon as Apple lets me use my video content the way they let me use my audio content, I've got a long list of videos waiting to be bought.

Just got the MX1000 yesterday on sale.
That one does support OSX, but not sure about MX900.
Haven't really used the MX1000, cept for 5 mins, the grip feels good, seems to track very well, looks damn nice, and seems to be alot better than my old Microsoft Wireless.

It's actually short for the full name - Macintosh Professional Book.
People shorten it to MacBook Pro.

Thanks, I hope that the store will give back another machine for the time they figure it out.
I also had a Kernel error with Snow Leopard OS original DVD inserted...
and another Kernel with Caldigit Expresscard USB3.0 inserted...
I'm taking a picture of every single error.
I hope it will stay alive, I'm in the middle of a work and I need a working machine (also because it isn't a cheap one!)
This machine makes me regret so much my 2009 17" one!

Very glad to see this isn't just me. :-) I noticed this on my iPhone 4 the other night and after a couple times quitting iPhoto and iTunes in random orders I got it to sync correctly. Then I plugged in my iPhone last night and it messed it all up again, same with my iPad. I disabled photo syncing on both until this gets fixed, so now I'll be checking for updates daily. When you have a library of 10,000+ pictures that are updated almost daily, events getting messed up like this is such a big hassle. :p

Paul, I completely agree with you.
Multi disk RAID has valid uses, but its place is best left in the enterprise - where it can help to provide better uptime in an environment where replacement drives, controllers and copious backups are always on hand.
The worst thing about this sort of box in a domestic situation is the temptation for people to treat it as 'a backup'... they assume they don't need any other backup as the unit itself is more resilient (dead wrong!).

In my area, this is already being done. Visit the site and you can check out books. This will make it easier and I hope it makes it to all the book readers not just the Kindle. IE Nook, iBooks etc.

I am trying to do this similar thing - but I am confused
Do I need a pc software based VPN? Can't I just use my router VPN? I have tried VPN with just iPad and router but not working. I wonder if it is because my ip address to my router from cablevision is not static? Although my router ip hasn't changed since I started trying to do this, it keep failing.
Argh I am so pissed that I can't figure this out even with google

AppleInsider Article: "The filing is credited to four Apple employees: Nick King, Duncan Kerr, Paul Herbst and Steven Hotelling."
Is this the type of thing Apple does? Thought they had more control over employee/press relations...
The whole article sounds a bit overloaded with info - is it April Fools?http://forums.macrumors.com/images/smilies/redface.gif
They just got all the information from the patent...they are incredibly extensive documents. And the employees credited are probably the patent attorneys that wrote the document. This has nothing to do with apple's control. April is not for five months...a bit premature.
