Sounds like it could be a hard drive issue.

I am shocked to see how popular these are becoming. Personally if I got one it would only be an addition to my computers not a replacement for my MBP. Like having the optical drive at my leisure and the better computing power. But then again I do working the IT field. I could easily see how they meet the average consumers needs. None the less I want one.
Lot's of people don't really need an MBP. People who actually need more power than a Core2Duo and discrete graphics are in a very tiny minority when just about the only uses everyone and their grandma have are content consumption such as facebook, mini games, or maybe the occasional email(if you want to count that as creation).

I don't know if it's MR or not. The admins need the URL and a screenshot. If it is from MR, the admins can contact the ad service and have it removed.

Wow, and nobody could have seen this one coming. Proof that the demand is low: I've never even seen one!
I actually saw one in the wild. A student on mine was a Microsoft fanboi and owned a Zune rather than an iPod. I'm sure he'll be sad now that he won't be able to upgrade to Zune II in vomit beige rather than poo brown.

Time capsule is meant to be a backup drive...Did you delete all your music off your laptop as soon as it was on your TC?
Thanks for the tip and yes, that's exactly what I did. Macbook Air has a tiny hard drive and I was running out of space. I will need to buy another 1TB hard drive to backup my TC going forward!

Hi All,
Here is my new game Gel Mania, it got released 2 days ago, and yesterday got to the Kids and Family-New and Noteworthy
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/gel-mania/id428956733?mt=8
I like the game and I think it's a simple casual game, but I'm not sure If I'm on the right category and If my marketing plan is correct since I did not get enough downloads.
I have the game in Kids and Family, I'm thinking about changing it to Family and Arcade??? Or Action and Arcade??
Also, the app is free but I have the In App Purchase for the Full Version, which give you a lot more as far as the gameplay, themes, in game rewards,Achievements, .... So, My Other question is isn't it better If I include everything in the same version and sell the whole thing for only .99?
PLEASE HELP, SINCE I HAVE THE UPDATE IN REVIEW AND I NEED TO CHANGE THE CATEGORY SOON. Thank you
It would be great if you can rate this also.
Getting into the Category 'New & Noteworthy' or 'What's Hot' doesn't effect sales at all, pretty much everyone gets a chance to be in it. Only if you get onto the front page 'Staff Favourites', 'New & Noteworthy' or 'What's Hot' does it really help sales.

I ended up going in and dropping it off, but they'll ship it back to me. Some day.
Gotta say, the service is pretty good, apart from the thing where they didn't have a magic wand they could wave to Just Make It Better. While I was there, they were helping someone with one of the silver-looking powerbook G4s, and they covered some stuff under warranty for someone with a black macbook that was 67 days out of warranty.
And here's me with a notebook that's maybe four months old, boring.

I can understand people's impatience with Apple for not having a complete AppleWorks replacement already, but if you look at their long term plans for iWork it makes perfect sense. If you start out with a solid foundation it is easier to make improvements so follow my thinking:
"iWork '03"
Keynote 1
iWork '05
Keynote 2 - improvements
Pages 1 - introduced and is a cross between a word processor and a page layout program. Handles the basics of both well but lacks "pro" features
iWork '06
Keynote 3 - improvements
Pages 2 - gets table cell formulas, sorting, number formatting (preparation for spreadsheet app), comments (colaboration), thumbnail view (page finding, ordering, deleting), address book support (mail merge), endnotes, automatic text correction, and general improvements to features already there.
iWork '07
Keynote 4 - improvements
Pages 3 - gets modes which separates word processing tasks/items from page layout tasks/items (reduced clutter), ability to create custom formulas.
Spreadsheet 1 - can import/read Excel data, save as/export to Excel file, basic reporting, there will be a way supply the charts in Keynote and Pages with data, plus whatever Apple adds
iWork '08
Keynote 5 - improvements
Pages 4 - word processing and page layout tasks are improved to the point where they are looking like two separate apps
Spreadsheet 2 - general improvements, reporting feature gets most improvement by being able to "drill" down through pie charts.
iWork '09
Keynote 6 - improvements
Pages 5 - improved to the point where it is only a word processor now.
Page Layout 1 - "New" app that has broken away from Pages and is now the "iApp" of DTPs. This could happen in iWork '08.
Spreadsheet 3 - Gets ODBC support
Database 1 - most likely SQLite, or equivalent, with a sweet front-end. Hopefully, it will be a true RDBMS and not something like what came with AppleWorks.
Reports 1 - (ie Crystal Reports) This is a stretch but if not a separate app then more of an "engine" that is used by the spreadsheet and database apps.
I do not use Keynote which is why I only entered "improvements" next to it.

Arn,
I found an error. When you click on the links such as community discussion all (http://forums.macrumors.com/forumdisplay.php3?forumid=20) you get a 404 error. Just to let you know...(if you already don't know about it) It's the same for the article discussion too. Not the other two.

In my business I provide IT support for residential and very small business customers. I don't handle any clients who are big enough to require a real Windows server like Windows Server 2003 or 2008.
However, I have installed a couple of Windows Home Server appliances for customers - mainly for backup purposes. I love the backup feature of Windows Home Server. It's the closest thing I've found to Time Machine on Windows. The problem is that Windows Home Server looks like a dead-end. HP (who had the best boxes) is getting out of the business. The new version of WHS doesn't look that great.
So, I recalled that Server will be included in Lion. A few questions:
- is there or will there be a limit on the number of client PCs that can connect
- can anyone recommend a free or near-free backup program for Windows that will work as well as WHS's? (automatic daily backups that are both file and image backups, and work with most recent flavors of Windows XP Home, Vista Home Premium or 7 Home Premium)
- anything else I should consider?
As your question is really a question about windows desktop software I think you are probably asking the wrong group here...
Anyway, Your windows clients will the apple server as windows NT4 CIFS/smb server. Windows home will not to domain log-ons, which is fine because widows 7 will not auth against a samba server anyway, (which is the core of apple server's auth system for windows clients.) I'd suggest either just getting the machines your trying to back up external USB harddrives, (which will include backup software, if you shop correctly,) or getting your group of computers on MS SBS. There really isn't any product that would work well, yet be cost effective that is between those two options.
Hard drivers would be $50-$100 each
MS SBS for a very small group would be $800ish +$100 for a USB external HD to do your backups, (of the server.)

Ultimately, you can only have it one way or the other if you want to get a subsidised iPhone.
In the UK, you can get your iPhone unlocked because you're still bound to the contract, even after your carrier has unlocked your phone. So if you want to unlock and go for another carrier, you either cancel your contract and pay it out till the end, or you pay for your iPhone contract AND whichever other carrier you choose to go for. i.e. carrier doesn't lose out if your phone gets unlocked.
In the US, you get a subsidised iPhone with an expensive contract, decide you don't want to be bound to the contract, pay an early termination fee and you're free to go. i.e. carrier loses out if your phone were to be unlocked.
As you can see, there are positive and negative sides to both cases.
Of course none of this applies if you decide to go "all in" and buy an unlocked iPhone, from a different country if need be.

Just keep in mind as well that the transparency trick doesn't work in IE so make sure you have a fall back in those instances.
Good point! I'd recommend using jQuery for a project like this. The jQuery transparency functions work across all browsers.

for me it's in PS Elements, but the one used the most, and thus my personal favorite, is the Melancholytron filter. It has so many variables, a good preview screen and is totally reversible from the Edit menu.
The effects can go from subtle (for example, a slight vignette of edges) to sepia toning. It's a great filter when not overdone, and when overdone if you want to!

Just wait for the releases by Otterbox and Switcheasy. Those will be your best bets.
Switcheasy has a silicone case, but they will most likely release a hard shell case in the future (I would assume, at least.)
