No water damage right?
I mean, I really doubt it is, it was in my pocket today when someone splashed water on me, but I doubt very much touched it if at all.
It's starting to get really weird, like the home button will work for a little bit and then voice control will randomly activate and then I'll lose control of the phone and it'll act like I'm screwing with the home button (the quick-start menu will pop up, it'll switch black-and-white mode, voice control, etc...)
Maybe it is water damage? I mean, the phone wasn't wet or anything, how would I know?

I'd change the hard drive out too. I've bought six G3 iMacs in the last few years and the hard drive of every one has died after a few months of proper use if it wasn't dead already.
Give it a speedy 80-120gb drive and 512mb of RAM and it'll speed up to no end. They're still very usable computers!

Actually, I have been looking for a new monitor and was really hoping that the ACDs would be updated. At the very least, their price is almost twice that of a similar display from practically everyone else. Granted, they have a nicer design, but a 6ms refresh time is pretty slow these days.
I just bought a Mac Pro and really would love the remote/iSight to go with it. Since they have discontinued the actual iSight, I would have to buy a new laptop just to get one! That's just unreasonable.

No there's no magnet keeping it closed but I havent found it to be a problem. Maybe for the review cuz Im moving it around so much. But during regular use I have it either in stand position or flapped back. It's solidly built and it made of great quality material. I've ordered another for my wife.

Well, it's a time bug... if you switch back your system's clock to the serial will work.

Do me a favor. If you don't already have it turned on, turn on Dock magnification and move your mouse pointer slowly across the icons. See how they scale smoothly, and yet don't look like crap? Those icons are 256x256 bitmaps. Its all about doing things properly.
But see, these images are never being scaled up beyond their original size- they are being scaled DOWN. That is the difference. We are talking about scaling things UP. Have you ever had an old OS 9 icon in your dock? When you magnify it, it looks like crap.
Understand that web designers tend to manage graphics pixel by pixel. Once you start stretching pixels in images across pixels on the screen, everything goes to crap. All you've got to do to see this is turn on your zoom feature.

The ipod is dying. The touch is the only one which will survive the longest. People these days just like touch screens with features packed to the rafters and the classic, nano and shuffle are falling by the wayside.
Except of course for those who want to listen to music. Touch screen and features are rather useless to me in the car. And the iPod Touch is much too big, compared to my iPod nano.
That margin is truly ridiculous. Great for stockholders but really bad for consumers. A 41% profit margin, they could sell their $1000 computers for 800 dollars and still make the industry average profit.
Has anyone ever explained the meaning of "gross margin" to you?

I'm curious about those who gave this news a negative review?? Are they not for resolution independence? An upgrade to openGL apps behavior? QT?
I assume that QT being 64bit will rock the encoding times for h264... woohoo.

"nothing gigantic" is my bet for negative votes. A few are against resolution independene, but with any software update or release of a rumored product, negatives come from people who thought it should be more.

I was on the train to work that day when all a sudden, every cell phone in the train went off all at once. People were starting to talk about the WTC being hit with a plane, but nobody knew it was terrorism at that point. When I got to my stop (in the Financial District in Chicago's Loop), everyone was running up the stairs to get on the train. It was almost chaos. I went into my office and that's when I found out exactly what happened. The mayor then ordered everyone to evacuate downtown. I spent the rest of the day trying to contact friends in NYC who lived on Lower Manhattan. Little did I know I wouldn't be able to get in touch with them for over a week, due to the heavy phone traffic. It was a horrible, horrible day. Not knowing if my friends were OK was the worst though.

I returned to my home in Nara from a business trip. The people where I live there faces looked shocked, soon after they told me what had happened I was in shock also. I arrived home to see the second airplane strike the tower. A friend of mine was stuck in New York City for 3 days, he could not get out of the city.
I am old enough to barely remember the Kennedy assassination, you never forget where you were when it happened, the World Trade Center is the same in that respect.

Try resetting the setting for InDesign (this will work for any CS2 or newer product)
1.quit the application.
2.Hold down the Command-Option-Shift-Ctrl keys (Control-Alt-Shift on a PC)
3.Run the application with the keys still held down (this may mean selecting the open option when you click on the icon in the dock)
4.Select "yes" when asked to Delete InDesign Preference files
5.Let application load
Not sure if it will solve you problem, but this is usually the first step i take when trouble shooting ADobe performance issues.

If u are going to put massive amounts of music on the device (past 64g) then the classic is the way to go. Otherwise get the touch. And happy b day

Will they fix the camera and controls with Shadow of the Collosus?
That was the most difficult part of the that game, seeing where you were going!!!

Using GSP and Iphoto only makes sense if the photo's have the GSP location information as part of the photo. So that mean that the Camera taking the picture has a GSP reciever in it, which is great outside, but GPS does not work indoors
Correct but the GPS can make an assumption based on time and movement of the user and even retroactively add the info to the photo's. Can the GSM signal be used to help find the location?
Oh man oh man, i want this. It sounds great to look at a picture and instantly be able to track the satellite view of the area. :eek:

It does seem as though people are putting so many guesses out there that one is bound to be right. I wouldn't be surprise to see a longer cycle this time as it must be getting harder each year to make big leaps in functionality rather than just refining and upgrading what is already there.
