4.3.2 jailbreak might be ready soon :)
http://www.redmondpie.com/jailbreak-ios-4.3.2-untethered-confirmed/
Seems to be for All devices :)
Stefan Esser has just confirmed that his 4.3.1 untethered exploit still exists in iOS 4.3.2
So the untethered expoit that doesn't work on the iPad 2 still exists, that's hardly for all devices.

Microsoft has to worry about bigger things than getting their OS to run on macs, how about getting their OS to run on a PC (IE: Vista).
Microsoft was late to the plate and I wouldn't be suprised if they just bought out a company to get back in the competition.
take it easy on them, they saved apple's ass in the 90's. if it weren't for them apple would have gone 'rupt. they also have to worry about a thousand different hardware configurations whereas os x 10 has to worry about the mac line.. give 'em a break. (not an ms fanboy)

I don't really have an asking price, as I don't know what's a reasonable price. I know you have a 12" PowerBook. Trades? :D
Hmm...I'm not exactly looking to trade my PB at the moment, but here's an example of what I sold my old iBook for, it was a 1.07ghz 12" with 512mb 40gb HD and combo drive, I got $800 for it, so I'd say that $1000+ would seem reasonable. Especially seeing as the HD is upgraded and (possibly) the RAM, and Superdrives do boost value, so anywhere from $1000-$1200 wouldn't seem unreasonable to me.
(By the way, I'm not interested in buying it, just bought a 800mhz G3, just felt like helping you out a bit.)

I have a 2006 mini I use as an HTPC, the fan is louder than I'd like it to be but it's running at a normal RPM so there's not much I can do about it. My sister has a 2010 mini and I noticed it's much quieter than mine, nearly silent. So I was wondering if anyone knows if the fan model used in the 2010 would work in a 2006?

Wrong way round - it's userland, therefore WILL be tethered. See explanation here:
http://bit.ly/gN060d
actually, there are untethered userland jailbreaks. Look at the jailbreakme.com exploit from 4.0 / 4.0.1 for the iPhone 4.

I am just about to buy a Blackberry. I guess I will wait a bit to see if the iPhone comes out in Canada.
I have noticed that none of the Blackberry devices that have wifi are offered in Canada. I'm not sure why that is?? I can only guess that Rogers doesn't like the idea of its customers being able to download email and surf the web without being charged (lol).
Cheers,

Thx man. Is there a special with printer?
Apple salesperson never mentioned it. She did say, "you don't want the better graphics card for extra $100?" I said, "will it help with Photoshop" she said "no mainly for games." I just got the stock model since I don't play games otherwise it'd be online order.
You'll love the 27", IPS screen is amazing. Also speakers are really good, I was very surprised.
its basically you pay a 100 bucks for the printer and then you fill the rebate form and they send u a check for a 100 bucks, no biggie honestly.
I wont take the better graphic card for a 100 bucks either, specially since ill have to do an online order and they wont be available at the store, much rather have it now and enjoy it ;)

You're right.
I looked at the docs for applicationShouldTerminateAfterLastWindowClosed and it says:
It sends this message regardless of whether there are still panels open. (A panel in this case is defined as being an instance of NSPanel or one of its subclasses.)
So you need to handle this somehow, possibly like this:
- (BOOL)applicationShouldTerminateAfterLastWindowClosed:(NSApplication *)theApplication
{

You can't start a thread like this and not give us your first impressions! :D
I'm looking forward to Reach, although I'm also keeping myself grounded over the hype. I've generally enjoyed Halo but have been dissapointed in one way or another by everything since the Xbox original. I'm hoping the single player is better than Halo 3's at least.

I never had OS9, but I think I heard some of this sound in other places.
In example, the "Quack" one sound me so familiar..., maybe there is a similar sound in Win 95 / 98?
Over the years I've heard a lot of MacOS alert sounds used in TV & radio commercials, I guess because creative types were using Macs. Perhaps that's why. :)
