Is the buzz on the 9th worth the crowds? I'm thinking just from a crowd perspective, no. Friday is also out-everything seems be coming down and packing up.

No, I'm pretty sure Apple canceled the Zune. :D
Or you could say Nokia...
The Zune will just live on in Windows Mobile Phones and Nokia will be leading the front.
Zunes with phone capabilities...

Tried searching but can't find a solution. I have a XP bootcamp partition and recently installed a trial version of Parallels. Now upon startup if I hold ctrl then I get an option to boot from the XP partition. When I select it then the screen goes black and it will not boot. I have no problem booting to OSX and running apps from the XP partition with Parallels.
Any suggestions?

Let's face it, Microsoft can't compete.
See, here's the problem.
They really can't compete. Microsoft's best guys are on the XBox project.
They are screwing up ACROSS THE BOARD.
- Their newest release of Exchange is a CRASH Nightmare.
- IIS 6.0 can be crashed with a Large Sql Query to a DataGrid.
- Their development staff couldn't handle "Checked Exceptions".
( Too lazy for Error Handling? )
- So, with something as Complex as Virtual Pc,
you have to wonder, how deep is the bench?
Not Deep Enough.
Microsoft, soon to be the: "Microsoft Game Company".
In games they're fairly competent.

This has happened to be before, and it was after I downloaded something from cydia that the iPod crashed and couldn't be recognized, then I turned it back on, deleted the newly downloaded package, and everything was fine. Hope this helps!
Thanks, Ill try that later.

The St. George Au Web banking site has a heart attack every time it sees Safari, and tells me to use IE or Netscape, the flaw is, there is a little continue button at the bottom, and when clicked on, allows you to continue using Safari. The funny thing is, there is numerous banners all displaying 'NOT COMPATIBLE WITH XP SERVICE PACK 2' all over the site. WTF?
Sounds like your bank has a gang of idiots managing the web site.
I can understand it if they don't test against Opera. I can even understand not testing against Safari - there are still tons of Windows bigons designing web sites (and sites created with FrontPage by people who coldn't make the page compatible if they wanted to.) But incompatible with XPSP2? That's just plain incompetance. SP2 was available in preview form for over six months - plenty of time for them to test and fix their site.
They obviously don't care about their customers very much.

My roommate is taking a geography class in college right now. (Just an FYI, he is an older student in his 30's).
His teacher works for google on their maps. He has slipped in class several times saying Apple is working on putting GPS into the iPod. (He, the teacher, knows this because it is what he does full time for Google).
Anyway, this looks like the GPS in iPhoto is not related to the iPod, but eh you never know, iPhoto does work with the iPod in a way now as it is...

I'd guess that we'll see a move to Lithium Polymer batteries first (though two lithium polymer batteries never hurt anyone)

First of all, you should probably get a BSE, or StealthGuard instead of a IS. Same thing, except you have to make your own solution. And no sgueegee. But it's worth it. I would recommend something from Switcheasy for your case, however, they have only came out with one thing.

I've had 3 iPhone 4's unlocked by Rogers, 2 of which were under contract. It is against their internal policies, but it partly depends on the rep you get. For the second phone I got one that was so confused (policy was only a week old) that I was able to convince him the policy allowed me to be unlocked and so he did.
Wait, you got Rogers to unlock your iPhone?! Is this a new policy or did u get lucky?

can you recommend a brand of switch?
Thanks!
At the moment I am using a 2.5 year-old TRENDnet 8-port switch that cost me $28 shipped. It hasn't melted yet, but your mileage may vary.
Sure, more expense can net you more features, but now you're getting away from the 'simple network' you asked for.

What happens if you connect the TV directly via miniDP - HDMI adapter without the CAT5 extender?
Considering that a lot of people run that kind of setup without problems, my bet is that the extender is the source of your problems.

Connectix was pretty sweet. I guess their legacy is dead, except for those priceless Ram Double floppies I have stashed away for a different day and age.
Ah! Ram Doubler and Speed Doubler - those were great - worked too!
I remember those days.
Therewas also a piece of software to emulate a floating point processor for those machines that didn't have one.
Remember shoe-horning into my SE a video card so I could attach a 21" monitor - yay RasterOps!

Every iPhone thread leaves me amazed at how complacent Americans are in accepting terrible mobile telephony. When's the last time (in Europe) that you had a "dropped call"? I had to look up the term because it meant nothing to me. If the iPhone is going to work properly, then someone needs to give assurances that your calls will actually go through. Forget about downloading songs on the go for a moment, and consider the intended purpose of a phone. If I want to make a call, it means that I need to get through and actually end up talking to someone; not that I want to try to call someone. Don't get me wrong, I'd love an iPhone. I'm just glad I live in a country where your calls go through, and stay going until you terminate it. And what's with this paying for incoming minutes thing? The payment should be the responsibility of the person doing the calling. At least, that's how it seems to work over here.

and where do you get that info?
The iPhone 3Gs has an ARM type 7 CPU. It is the first iDevice to have one, with the iPod Touch 2G being the last type 6. Apple no longer includes the type 6 instruction set. Similar to how Snow Leopard no longer works on PPC Macs. The iPhone 3Gs was also the first iDevice to have the PowerVR SGX535 GPU. The iPod Touch 2G was the last to have the PowerVR MBX Lite 3D. The driver kext is no longer in the firmware and its doubtful that the 4.2.1 one would work.
Furthermore, Apple doesn't sign the soft SHSH for 4.3 and none of the jailbreaking tools out support it. So unless the OP wrote his own method for jailbreaking 4.3 and getting around the soft SHSH, he has just faked his firmware and build number.

Does anyone have a facebook fan page set up for your photography?
If you're interested in checking out the fb artist page I set up, which actually includes in progress images of new work I'm putting together, it can be found at http://www.facebook.com/andybloxhamimagery
Mine is at http://www.facebook.com/markhoodphoto - I don't have a proper website as such, as I'm not quite ready to build one yet.
So for me this is really just a chance to get some more feedback, and it keeps the photo people away from the work/regular people :)
I've not allowed people to post links and new items on there though, when I did I got lots of stuff that I wouldn't call spam, but wasn't really my sort of thing. I guess I'm missing out on some interesting conversations that way, but I still feel this is 'my' page, so I'd rather not see people promoting themselves on it... I'll have to re-think that, as it gets busier.
