Yep...and as an aside:
There is no good reason why you shouldn't be doing your TM backups hourly as is native to the program since you have a desktop. With a laptop I can see situations where you don't have a connection to the HDD occasionally.
Your frequency of "every few days" means that TM has to do a larger backup each and every time while the hourly backup will do tiny backups...only what has changed that hour...sometimes nothing if nothing has changed (overnight for example) sometimes a few GB if you rip a DVD perhaps. It runs in the background, so it doesn't impact you at all.
The one time you accidentally delete a file you started working on this morning (and is therefore is not in your 'every few days' backup) is the time when you will be so happy you went back to TM's default settings. :)

Opened and closed for me as well.
But then again it is in alpha stage so I will give these guys a break. Awesome idea though as I am about to buy a nice TV and a Mac mini for this exact reason. So i will be watching this project closely. :D

You could make a Tetris-themed one the same way.
That was my first thought too.

Have you tried deleting redsn0w and downloading it again? maybe it's the file. I had a similar problem and replacing the .exe file fixed it for me.
Yes I've tried that several times. I also tried first when the jailbreak was for 4.3.1 and the tried it again when they updated redsnow to jailbreak 4.3.2 (after I updated my device to 4.3.2 of course). I also tried using the iphone firmware stored in my itunes folder and also downloading the firmware from the dv-team link. Same results with every time. Weird!!!
Another thing I should mention was that although my model number indicated I was on the old boot rom as opposed to the fixed I got an error message saying that I was indeed on the fixed boot rom. I restored my device and tried it again using the fix boot rom option. Since then I haven't received that error message but instead what I mentioned above happens. Could this be my problem?

I was in 8th grade, in Latin Class.
I didn't know what was going on until I got home.
None of the teachers would tell me what was going on.
All I knew is that people kept going home all day. Since I wanted to skip algebra (I hated that class so much!) I wanted to, too, but the teacher would only say "no, you don't want to"
We didn't watch the TV at all, but in english we had a discussion.
Some moron said "let's bomb all those *expletive*-head turban wearing sand *another expletive* KILL THEM ALL!"
I was just confused and shocked at why we would want to bomb whole countries.
I remember getting home, and my mom showed me what was going on. Dan Rather was reporting.
I didn't really know the scope of it freshman or sophomore year.
It was weird.
(but then, this question came up in english my sophomore year, and I got into a big fight with my teacher. whoops!)

I'm getting horrible flash performance in full screen. using latest version of Flash from adobe.com and in 1080p resolution
This is a recent thing, about a month or so.
i've tried unchecking hardware acceleration, still horrible. Jumping video and lag. Is there anything I can do?? I've used the mac mini to watch tv online, streaming nhl games, soccer, etc. And now it's unwatchable!! Help!
Thanks

The standard resolution for DVD is 720 x 576 pixels, so 800x600 should do the trick.
For myself, when I doubt the quality of a movie or whatever I want to play on a TV/DVD set, I burn the files on a DVD-RW first. In most cases the quality is better on TV than it seems on my computerscreen. Sure the fact my monitor has higher resolution than my TV and the distance from what you watch your TV (lots more than from where you look at my monitor) will play a role.
Good luck

This would be stealing, as my contract obliges me to continue paying for the cost of the hardware, which really isn't paid for, when I first get the phone. I agree with the others however, that AT&T should unlock the phone, once the contract is up, or that Apple should offer an unlocked phone, albeit at a higher price. I am thinking of expat pilots who live in the UAE flying for an international carrier for 20 days and then get to come back stateside for 10. They really need a solution like that. The next thing that AT&T should do, then, is have a different pricing structure for those with legitimately unlocked phones. After all, that phone didn't cost AT&T a dime.
Only speaking to the US market. In re equipment cost recovery:
After the 2 year contract, I do not see a reduction in my monthly Verizon bill. I have paid for the device, so why is there no reduction?

Congratulations, you have the (dis)honor of posting the 768th thread on a BT mouse recommendation.
Search the forums
No kidding - I think BT Mouse threads are the most frequently repeated on this forum.
I personally use the Radtech BT500 - and I have been able to use it from across the room - unfortunately at that distance I can't see the screen, so waht's the use? ;)

What did you read and where?
I don't remember the paper, but my friend gets it delivered in Draper.
It said you guys were up playing games on a projector and smoking meat or something. Sounded like a pretty good time lol.
I showed up at 4:15PM and was behind about 900+ people!

resolution independence is going to be a god send to web developers, no more crappy and inaccurate pixel/em sizes. now we'll be able to specify inches and picas hoorah!
and vista will be supporting resolution independence through its WPF foundation layer. it won't be overnight hell like CSS 2.1 it'll take years before it goes mainstream, but the web is going to be a much better place.
as for JPEGs at 72 dpi vs resolution independence beyond the scaling algorithms it's important to look at the increase in resolutions of monitors before going to crazy, 1920x1200 is about the maximum and average consumer is going to have, it's taken a few years from 1024x768 to get there though, three or four at least. i suspect we'll be at a max ratio of 2:1 or maybe 3:1 for quite some time. i don't think we're going to see a drastic need for hi-res images on the web or a plethora of "blurry" images for quite some time.
Specifying sizes in mm and inches would have to be the worst way to do web design. I have good eyesight so i want my webpages to be small, my parents have worse eyesight so they like to scale everything larger, their solution at the moment is to decrease the screen resolution, this is very crude on an lcd. When resolution independence becomes standard they will be able to make everything larger while still maintaining the default resolution of their monitor, but if everyone designs webpages in mm or inches then the webpages wont become bigger, completely defeating the purpose.

Local DNS would be the main LAN side solution.
There are also programs that can extent Bonjour services outside the local LAN, but that would be a VPN side solution on the individual clients.
As I understand it there is no way to extend Bonjour over a VPN to iPhone/iPad clients so that option is ruled out for us.
What software would you recommend for Local DNS? Or is it something I would need Snow Leopard Server for? Unless it is possible to configure our router for this purpose (Vigor 2820 - couldn't find any options relating to local DNS though)?

Hey Nick, I'm in the same situation as the OP.
I'm going to a concert and I want to try recording some video. Are you absolutely sure the modified speaker box won't make the sound get distorted?
I want to get the juice pack air (since I need the extra battery life) and I want to be sure I get the best sound.
(Remember we're talking about recording video+sound, not playing music or video..I'm sure the speaker box is great for that)

If they had them, and consequently added probably $100 or more to the price of the display, would you actually commit to buying one... today?...Totally agree.
While they will probably update them eventually, the only thing they could really add today are things that the market for the thing doesn't actually need or want. Sure it would be nice if they were thinner, they are already thicker at the edges than the current aluminium iMac. But it's certainly not a show stopper that they are.
I predict the update will happen in conjunction with some real and necessary improvement in the design. Either by adding multi-touch (with associated arm-rests ;) ), or because they will be made more environment friendly perhaps.
I do think they could be a bit cheaper than they currently are. The minimum ACD worth getting is the 23" which is still basically a thousand dollars after taxes even if you get a refurbished one at the educational price.

It is possible to have the songs in two formats on iTunes, although I don't know how Sonos would deal with it.
I know iTunes can definitely do it. Not sure about sonos.
Thanks :)
I would like to isolate the songs I have and use on my Iphone 4 32GB into one separate folder/directory - so that I know these songs are for my Iphone ONLY, meaning they won't contain any lossless files, which takes up too much space on my 32 GB limited Iphone 4 music player.
Is this possible ?
I could in theory have my full music folder on my 2 TB Time Capsule for my Sonos and then have the music I only use for my Iphone on my internal HDD drive in my iMac...... maybe this is the solution, so the music does not get mixed up !?!
