I am looking for a really good monitor for my 2010 Mini for use with Web Browsing and some games, as my trusty ol' Gateway finally died.

I am looking in the 22-24" area and do not want to spend more than say $350.00

Should I go LED or Not?

Need to be able to display MAX Resolution Mini can handle.

I've posted this question as well on another thread:

are there any experiences with the samsung 470 series? according to the reviews, performance should be pretty good and especially the power consumption is really low. additionally, this model is installed in the macbook airs and what I've read those are getting good reviews performancewise....

For what you want to shoot, the nature and still stuff, a tripod is more important than IS. Keep in mind that IS only stabilizes the camera, and not the action. My feeble brain reminds me that dressage is a horse competition thing. To freeze the action, you need a fast shutter speed. IS will help a bit with this, but clean action shots of moving things are achieved with shutter speeds above 1/500 second. More like 1/1000 for jumping horses.

I guess there was no reason to continue. They were prob not making much of a profit on VPC anyhow and 3rd parties already had it covered.

Are they working on a universal MS Office?

I do have an NTSC Xbox I could sell you --- but you'd have to install your own modchip, since I really don't wanna mess anything up.

Have a PowerMac G5 here at work that now flashes that wonderful blinking folder icon upon powering up. Seems to have lost its way to the operating system. The person before me did a wonderful job of not leaving behind any documentation regarding it... So now I'm stuck at square one with not much to go off of.

Have tried all the discs in my office, that are all for Mac OS X (Mac Computers, etc, startup discs), and I keep getting the error that "Mac OS X cannot be installed on this computer". Lovely, right? It's an older model, I'm guessing before Mac started having Intel-based processors. Anyone know online where I can, maybe, download an appropriate startup disc, or if there's any way I can get to another startup screen?

Yonah is more expensive than the G4.

iBooks will feature integrated graphics guaranteed. They already have OsX running on the Intel 915 chipset in developer macs. Most cheaper laptops use the same chipset. Apple have no reason not to use it in the iBook. It's a budget product to them.

This will create an immediate differential with the powerbook which will end up using a seperate gfx card.

Don't expect prices to much different across all product lines than they are now. Apple didn't switch to intel because they are cheaper (the new processors aren't) they did so because IBM couldn't keep up with theyre predicted roadmap.

I have a similar setup at home including an airport extreme. I did try connecting the hard drives to the USB port on the airport and sharing them to the Mac Mini but found problems with it. It kept having the hard drives going to sleep and then the MAC Mini could not wake them up when it tried to access them.

I ended up giving up on that method and attached the drives to the MAC Mini directly. This lets the MAC Mini act as the server sharing the contents of the drives and the sleep issue is no longer a problem. Of course this would be necessary in order to use iTunes home sharing to the IOS devices since you can't do that from the Airport Extreme to the best of my knowledge.

As for cloning the drives, you might try Carbon Copy Cloner which can be setup to do this for you and it is donation ware. Just use Google to look for disk cloning in OSX and you will find CCC and some other options you may want to consider.

I have one. A camera would really come in handy, a microphone would be nice for recording music ideas and speakers would be great for sharing videos and music (I use in-ear headphones). I know I could get separate devices for cheaper but it would be nice to have everything in one.

Apple doesn't sell iPhones to Canadians.

    Dear Apple,
    Canadians are people too.
