Anyone else noticed that the iTunes Mini store has departed us in this version?
Or am I missing it somewhere?
EDIT: Nope.... found it. I noticed the EQ went walk abouts too. Found it under the same menu

There is some cool technology/dreaming being shown there..... but, I am Not going to use any technology to check my work schedule while I'm brushing my teeth. My work day does not start until I'm done with my morning, um, ablutions - I don't care how important the meeting or cool the technology.
I like the idea of putting your smart phone down to activate the table top displays. It bypasses the insecurity of having a room full of people watch you type your credentials. It also defines the initial area of display. If the default setting (perhaps set in the phone?) is, for eg, that the phone defines the top right corner then both the table top display know what the other wants.
I wouldn't want to read a book on something with the weight of a few sheets of paper. Too shaky (hand-shake). A book's weight uses inertia to absorb these very minor tremors. They may be minor, but they are fatiguing if you are trying to hold a page up for extended reading.

well i use to charge through the wall but with the new ipods its little more difficult than that because i gotta go behind my computer and unplug the cable since the ipods use a new cable. it should take 3 hours to charge fully. if nots charging in that amount of time i would say go for the wall.

A PowerBook G5 might never see the light of day, that was one of Apple/Steve Jobs reasons for the Intel switch.
the PPC G5 has a lot of promise, however it also has a lot of heat that goes with the power. And right now there is no way for it to fit in the notebook shell and having decent battery life.
I do not see a PBG5, the life span would be too short and pointless and the effort not even worth it. Intel based PowerBooks will be on the horizon. :)

Impressive-looking architecture! Am a bit wary though. Alright, the photographer presumably was looking for the cleanest, most spectacular photos, but from them it looks like the functionality of the place is subordinated to the looks...
It looks like its idea of relating to context is allowing views of nearby tall buildings, instead of knitting into a functioning neighbourhood. The approaches look devoid of activity bar walking, and the unchanging view would make walking there feel further than it actually is, because the size of the opera house is the obvious reference point for progress, and it will 'get bigger' very slowly. There doesn't seem to be any activity en route to justify going there unless for a performance. I fear the space around it will be pretty dead.
I'm also a bit dubious about forcing pedestrians along a massive detour around the lake so they don't spoil the precious reflection. How big a problem it is depends upon how important the destinations that the path links are, the quality of alternate routes, and how prepared opera-goers are to take big detours for the sake of a fine reflection!
Ah well, this is only an opinion based on the linked photos, which were presumably taken by a photographer with a particular story he/she wants to tell. I hope my fears are baseless! It's certainly a spectacular building.

Sorry Chris but you're not allowed to criticise any industrial design. Ever. I still blame you for turning BMWs into swamp-donkeys. :p ;)

Is there an easy way in R to change the variables in a column, say 'blue' 'red' and 'green' to 1, 2, and 3?
Thanks,

I am trying to change the "iPod" in the top left of the screen. I know about the program "MakeItMine" on Cydia but that doesn't work for iOS 4.2.1 for some reason. I just want to change the text I don't want to add a picture. If anyone can help that would be great.

Yeah I called right before they closed also. The guy didn't have any solid knowledge of a shipment, but confirmed the 9am early open if they have ipad inventory.
I'll probably head over around 7:30... is that early enough?
It better not be raining!!!

Well there could be a few things going in here. I have to agree with the posts. I have owned an G3/500, 2 G3/900's and currently have a spec'd out G3/800. The biggest issues I have found with these laptops; 1.) The well documented video chip issue. Killed both of my 900's. The second is the pathetic plastics that line the case. But I digress, first things first the hard drive is indeed a pretty easy fix. You will need to get your hands on an ide hd, which are cheap as all get out. Look to www.newegg.com, www.computergeeks.com or whatever place you buy from. Second you will need the take-apart guide. Being that if you take your iBook into any MacStore they will laugh at you and take pity on a perfectly good mac that is not on par with a very fickle community.

That is the guide for step-by-step. Not the easiest, but not all that hard, I would suggested using a digital camera to take pics along the way. And a handy tool is an egg carton to separate out the various screws.
Good luck, feel free to message me off list if you need any help.

Every time I read these threads I'm reminded why I don't have an iphone. Yeah, I have many other Apple devices, including a 3G iPad, but no iphone. I refuse to be a slave to the man. I wish subsidized devices didn't exist in this country. It reduces competition by locking people into contracts and ultimately holds technology back. Yeah, more people can own the "coolest" phone, but IMHO the ends don't justify the means.
You wish everyone had to pay $700 upfront for a smartphone?
That doesn't make much sense.. Your whole position doesn't make much sense.
Making products more accessible to more people and more affordable reduces competition and holds technology back? Again your post makes no sense.

The reason the Installer option for iTunes Phone Driver is greyed out is because it's already installed on your system!

Thank you Fivepint, I needed a good laugh.
Taxes are the price you pay for the privelege of earning money. If the cost of government is X, then the revenue collected should equal X. If one party *cough* GOP *cough* cuts revenue so much that we end up with a debt that equals Y, then you must cut spending and increase revenue so that you can pay X plus some of Y to eventually eliminate the debt.
If the people who benefited the most from the cuts now have all the wealth and make all the income, they are going to have to pay a higher share of the increases in X. That's just how it is.
You can't expect the poor to pay what they don't have, and you can't kill the middle class.
