T-Mobile in my area rents its airtime on Cingular's network. This is coming from 2 friends, one who works for T-Mobile and one works Cingular
You really do need to get out more :) It's called roaming coverage. If they don't cover an area they roam on another carrier if there is a roaming agreement. T-Mobile (and cingular for that matter) do not operate in Canada and if you want to use your service in Canada you roam on the ROGERS network. T-Mobile doesn't have service in parts of Maine and VermontThey roam on Unicel. In Wisconsin T-Mobile roams in certain places on Einstein PCS. It's no big deal. All carriers roam on other carriers' networks. Alltell roams on Verizon. Sprint roams on Verizon in some places.

I hope it is alright to post a link here. I'm not a forum expert, but I get the feeling it's against the rules. If it's wrong, I'll delete my post. But anyhow, I read this command for terminal which should resize partitions without loosing data on http://www.macworld.com/article/55274/2007/02/marchgeekfactor.html
The fact that I can't resize that partition looks more like an UI problem in Disk Utility rather than something physically impossible. I mean, if you could resize your primary partition if you deleted a secondary, why not the other way around?

Not unless January is in the Spring, which is when Apple has officially said Leopard will be released.

Probably pay-as-you-go as well, just like iTunes.
What, $0.99 a call everytime? ;)

I've got a 20" iMac with a 2.16 Ghz C2D processor, 2GB RAM and running Snow Leopard (10.6.7). I bought the computer new in late 2006. There is plenty of hard drive space left (196GB). The machine had no issues until last week.
Essentially last Friday I started experiencing a lot of hangups when using the machine. On a subsequent reboot, the dock completely disappeared and I could not recover it. Suspecting something became corrupted on the OS, I performed a simple erase on the Hard Disk, reinstalled the OS and restored my Time Machine backup. It seemed to resolve the problem.
A few days later, the symptoms returned. This time I repaired permissions and checked the hard disk, which came back okay. I also ran AppleJack with no success. It's not a user profile issue since the symptoms are evident on the new profile.
At this point I'm concluding the hard disk is going bad. Are there any tests I can run before I buy a new hard drive to install?
Thank you
Jesse

If people are still purchasing the existing displays I don't see much motivation in rolling out new ones.
well I'm holding the purchase of a MacPro for a while because I would like the newest monitor with it. I'm sure there are others that do not want to buy ...

Anyone else going to buy this on the 16th? I can't wait... first Rammstein album in 4 years!
And the last one ever apparently.

Sometimes happens to me with Flash plugin under Firefox, if I do anything that uses flash for an hour or two (like play a flash-based game) it'll eat up all of my 4gb of ram . It's just a problem with the plugin though, not Snow Leopard.

I meant to just double check you're plugging the jack into the correct output of your Mac - the headphone output rather than the mic input.

I think it's a really good idea.
Once they increase the number of available podbooks, I think this could really become big.

As far as I know Palm is the best way to go for what your describing, plus its the most compatible with OSX. One of the Zire's should suffice. I personally like the Tungsten T5 myself.

They are nice, I can see why people like them. I would buy one but prefer a larger screen.

That would be great indeed! There's a Safari extension that does that, but it's terrrrribly bad and it doesn't really work either. Safari extensions are all cr*p.
Many are crap. :)
But that's a great idea OP (even if it's not yours - I don't know). Apple should implement this in Safari and I think it will.

Hmmm.. I'm not a highly technical guy - not familiar at all with Terminal, don't really have an idea of what terms like bash, cron, tcsh are. I think this script is too complicated for the likes of me :) I went through it, but I have no idea of F@H is running, and it quit with an error.
It seems like mc68k's documentation is meant for those who are already familiar with folding & terminal, I was kind of hoping for a script that didn't demand technical knowledge.

Coolest that ive personally been involved with was helping a buddy put a mini in his g3 imac. It was fairly simple since we replaced the crt with an lcd and had lots of room to work with. I believe he's goona be putting the new mac mini in it soon as he just bought one not too long ago. If youre fine with 1024x768 then its a really cool mod and pretty easy to do. Plus its cheap to do since g3 imacs go for like 15 bucks on craigslist and 15 inch lcd monitors arent much either. With the mini you have lots of options depending on your budget.
