At that level, I am not seeing the need for incentive, please explain why billionaires need incentive to work harder?

Because their billions sitting in the bank somehow magically make jobs.

Edit: I didn't read the replies before writing this. Exactly what they said above. I am also not a developer so I like pure CSS and avoid scripting.

This is wat I do. Give the current page's relative list item a specific class called "current" or whatever and then style that class accordingly. see:

    <ul>
    <li class="current">Page 1</li>
    <li><a href="http://www.page2.html">Page 2</a></li>
    <li><a href="http://www.page3.html">Page 3</a></li>
    <li><a href="http://www.page4.html">Page 4</a></li>
    <li><a href="http://www.page5.html">Page 5</a></li>
    <li><a href="http://www.page6.html">Page 6</a></li>
    </ul>

I guess they wanted to inconvenience them millions of subscribers just to delay the small minority of AT&T customers willing to jump ship

Its more likely an unscheduled outage, or problem with their system

Since it may rain your tent would be amazing. I have just a big umbrella.

Still trying to decide, But i just followed you on Twitter so we can communicate so we don't lose touch when you go shopping, If i decide to come down with the tent and all save us a section so we can set this thing up, i hope we don't piss folks off if i come in with this tent and push them back a little.

But since we are in planning this, maybe you can tell anyone that comes in after you that your waiting for a friend with his tent.

But most Apple Users in my experience don't get pissed off like other types of folks.

Lets keep in touch, I will tweet you and let you know.

    Ken

    You've got my vote!

Your proposed graphic is definitely my favorite avatar I've seen on the entire Forum! (Uh-oh, mistake: I've just insulted all the judges ) Would make me laugh aloud & feel good every time I'd see it, I'm sure . . . Hope you get to keep it . . . I just wish I'd thought of it first . . .

Wasn't there a State that was giving away a Mozart CD to every newborn (to make them smarter?) a while ago? I wish it was a copy of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" DVD set instead!

I really don't buy what these analysts have to say.

Macrumors is 'analyst' central IMO. 99pc of people in this forum can make an educated guess as well as this guy.

Touche Aristo, I forgot about the HDMI output on iPad 2.

Only thing I see people on this board having a problem with (beyond allowing you to access their private network) is also giving you their optimum online login credentials, with which you can use to access their email, among other things.

Not saying that no one would do it, but I wouldn't give that information out--especially since the credentials I am using to login with are not my own.

But if you work out some sort of rules with somebody, I am sure some one would grant you access.

    Just my $.02

I'm not a big fan of Halo, but I'm pretty sure it isn't meant to be released worldwide until the 14th or something...

When Halo 3 was released, someone somehow got a copy of it the day before it was released. They went on Xbox LIVE with it (on the same day) and they were banned until December 31, 9999. I suggest you be careful until the 14th...
You won't be banned. Here is the word from Bungie themselves...
Some of you may even already be playing, courtesy of an eager retail store that couldnt wait until next Tuesday. But for the vast majority of you, we still have a few official days left and youre patiently waiting, finger on the trigger.... Tyson also dropped by and wanted us to inform everyone that the Credit wipe we told you about last week has been initiated and that if you've gotten a hold of a legitimate, legally obtained copy of Halo: Reach, please feel free to fire it up and play.

    Hello.
I was wondering if someone can help me make up my mind if i should buy the macbook 13" i5 core or the i7 one.
I'm using my laptop for gaming and school.
The game im mostly playing is Heroes of Newerth, so i hoped that someone could help me pick which one i should choose - and if it's worth the extra money buying the i7 Core.

    Greetings :apple:

Hang in there guys! It's worth it.

I called them twice today, they said they aren't getting any and already got their shipment for the day.

So that means people are standing in line for nothing?

Thanks for your second reply. I have closed down the software now and will be heading to bed as it is 4am over here.

I think maybe I'll rule out this little project after all, or look at getting some kind of licence to do said activity.

Thanks for the heads up. :o

Thx man. Is there a special with printer?

Apple salesperson never mentioned it. She did say, "you don't want the better graphics card for extra $100?" I said, "will it help with Photoshop" she said "no mainly for games." I just got the stock model since I don't play games otherwise it'd be online order.

You'll love the 27", IPS screen is amazing. Also speakers are really good, I was very surprised.

its basically you pay a 100 bucks for the printer and then you fill the rebate form and they send u a check for a 100 bucks, no biggie honestly.

I wont take the better graphic card for a 100 bucks either, specially since ill have to do an online order and they wont be available at the store, much rather have it now and enjoy it ;)

if i may piggyback onto this question, as i'm in the same boat currently.

given dante's comments about the color inaccuracies of non-ACD monitors (like the HP specifically), I'm wondering whether the built-in mon on the 17" hi-res is accurate?

i'm planning to upgrade out of both a 2.0 coreduo MBP and dual 2gig G5 PM into a single 17" 2.6/8 hi-res MBP and add a 30" monitor to that for home use. If the 17's internal monitor is respectably accurate for printwork, obviously I'll be able to save a few sheckels on the 30" by going HP (enclosure elegance be damned); on the other hand, if the 17 is not accurate it'll make more sense to spend the dough on an ACD.

    your thoughts appreciated!

    vic

    Hi Vic,

I have a 17" MBP (latest version, 17" 2.6ghz, 4gig ram, high res matte screen, etc) and can comment but first let me clear up your characterization of some of posts when you said "given dante's comments about the color inaccuracies of non-ACD monitors (like the HP specifically), "

Let me be specific, It is not that Non-ACD monitors in general are not color accurate, it's just that a few of the monitors mentioned within this post may be display a wider gamut of colors than SWOP (general characterization of Offset and Web Printing, usually CMYK ink) can actually print.

Some of these wide gamut displays do not calibrate well due to a complex process of color interpolation at the video card level, and some do. The HP LP3065 is one that does:

    http://www.anandtech.com/displays/showdoc.aspx?i=2950

Just wanted to clear this up so as to not bash HP un-needlessly.

Now for the 17" MPB -- it is good, but not great.

First off a thing about the MBP's -- All their displays are 6bit, and not 8bit like the signal going from a Mac Pro to an ACD. Basically this means that the color range of a MBP is not the same as as that of an ACD or other monitor comparable to an ACD. To make up for the less colors, the drivers dither between the comparable colors.

This makes image edit a bit less accurate for sure.

As far as color accuracy, the Matte MBP's are pretty close to a SWOP gamut, especially in terms of brightness and the feel of "paper."

As far as a MBP being a substitute, I guess it really depends on the level of accuracy you need: photos and art for a newspaper are different beasts than photos headed towards fine art, etc.

I hope this helps a bit.

    Dante
