and avoid selling at times when new apple products of the same sort in your case ipod 's had been released by apple , because then the market is swamped by last years ipods, all sold to get the newest ,so you 1st gen ipod would go under in the masses

I had my previous battery for about 4 years. I replaced it with a Nupower battery when I started getting charges of up to 88% and it would die in about an hour. I went with Nupower (bc I don't like to give Apple my money) and they advertise 5% more battery life. I have been unable to get it to charge to 100%. It stops at 99% and lasts about 2 and a half hours of just regular internet reading (no special programs, videos, etc...). I am wondering if I have a defective battery and if it should last longer?

I've recently noticed that the download speed for Apple updates is much lower than what I've used to get in the past, which was normally an excelent performance.
As you can see below, this is not a problem related to my connection:
http://www.speedtest.net/result/1192809291.png
For instance, when downloading the Java update yesterday and the iTunes update today, I got roughly 20% of my potential bandwidth...is anyone facing the same issue here in Europe or elsewhere?

Well I am rather stupid with these quiz things, and I don't remember most of the answers.
However I do know who was the other Admin. Blackspot was the other Admin, he did most of the story approving.
Does anyone remember the old icons MR used for Games? OS X?

Are they going to wait until they have a $100 billion cash stockpile before giving a dividend?
The problem - at least according to one investment blog - is that it's money located offshore. If they distribute a dividend, they have to pay corporate tax on it. If the US ever declares another corporate tax holiday, they just might hand out a dividend.

Almost certainly the bottom case is wrong - that is why the heatsink screws have nowhere to screw into. There are 3 bottom cases - you need version 2.
I suspect you have v1 or v3. Check the part number - should be in the bottom left corner of the optical drive bay. The part number for the bottom case for your model is 815-9744.

All I really need is the ability to tag a photo using Google Maps/Earth. It would be nice to have it tagged when I take it, but if I'm able to use an integrated iphoto/google maps to tag photos, and then be able to integrate the photos into google maps/earth, that's good enough for me.

I think that's a much more likely possibility. It's smart to patent anything you invent, even if you have no intention of using it for anything.
I agree with you 100% remember ipod mini in the laptop thing, also side lighting on the macs etc..... there are hundreds and hundreds of unused apple patents

ok 100Teraflops I use a Mac Pro daily for Music and Photography, The Mac Pro is a good beastie but alone it cant do the job, it must be paired up to a good Monitor, IPS panel if possible, I did use apple's but found the Dell's re-produced colour better. When you purchase your DSLR will you shoot RAW or Jpeg, think about it, RAW may be bigger files, but you can keep producing a good quality image from just 1 RAW file, On the subject of a scratch disk try and dedicate a complete disk as scratch.
my MP is set up as follows,
bay 1 :500gb for OS & apps
bay 2 :320gb as Scratch Disk
bays 3 & 4 : both have 1tb hdd's in a raid 1 configuration for music and stuff
All my RAW files & Aperture library are on a WD my book studio 4TB edition in a raid 1 via fw800 giving me 2TB to use, The system is simple and it works well. the big hdd's are all green WD drives. Hdd's are cheap now, but get the biggest you can afford (don't buy at the apple store), I find using Raid 1 I spend less time now backing up. The hardest part of photography is deleting images, you may take 100 shots and find only 2 of them are keepers, but getting rid of blurry, out of focus files will free up a lot of space,
you have had some excellent advice on here so far, and it will be nice to hear how you finally set up your workflow, keep us posted :)

not irrelevant to many others. a lot of people use it for trips through the country where they take pics of buildings, scenery. there are even enough professional uses like scouting out the locations for a new golf course, new hotels, camp sites, movie set locations and many more.
there are already other solutions for it though.
you just have to have the time between your GPS device and your camera in sync. there are programs that map the automatically the pics to the gps location via the time when they where taken. sony has a dedicated gps but in priciple it works with all of them.
seems that technology is then just integrated in iphoto. sounds neat.
What I'm thinking here is that the GPS is integrated into the camera. So when you take a pic, the GPS coordinates are recorded in the metadata so you know where it was taken.

Just a couple of thoughts (background... I shoot a 5DII, have 750GB of images, and have a MacPro with 6.5TB of internal storage + external no-caddy drive bays for backups).
Don't buy 350/500GB drives. They're older technology, and they're no longer the most cost effective in terms of GB/$.
The sweet spot for GB/$ is in the larger disks - 1TB to 2TB - and these disks will also be faster, as the data is packed tighter on the disk surface. You'll read more bits off the platter for every disk revolution.
Make sure you have a good backup strategy in place - and design that from the very beginning. Back up to external drives and try and keep a copy offsite. I also use an internal partition as a TimeMachine disk - just for my boot drive.
Edit. Oh yes... one more thing. RAID IS NOT A BACKUP... and don't trust anyone who tells you it is. RAID will ONLY protect you against disk crashes, NOT against accidental deletion, theft, water damage, electrical glitches, virus action, fire, accidental damage which together are more likely than a disk crash. To be safe, you need three copies of data, one of which should be in a separate location.

Aquaria looks like it would be very similar to SketchFigher... except be underwater...
I'm curious to see what this "intuitive mouse control system" happens to be. I typically hate using mice.

The Ipad 2 and very recently IMac have just release.
I'm reading the buyer's guide page here and it said don't buy the Macbook for now because there will be an update soon.
I do understand just like Iphone, Apple always release a new hardware with the same price of old lower spec hardware.
But I'm in need of the Macbook for an Iphone app development and I want to see wheter I just get the Macbook air now or wait for the white Macbook with higher spec at the same price.
What do you guys think?

I have a mid 2010 MacPro that has had some video problems ever since I got it. I am trying to determine if it is a cable problem or some problem with the video card. I have a monitor connected via the DVI port and this has no problems. I have my TV connected via a minidisplayport with a MDP to HDMI adapter to HDMI cat 5 extender. This is what is giving me problems. Swapping out all this will cost over $100 so I would like to confirm that it is not a hardware issue with the computer if possible.
I run the TV as a second monitor ans when I first set it up at the beginning of the year it would intermittently not detect the TV. I fiddled with things and removed some HTPC programs that were throwing a lot of things to the console logs. I finally got it working just fine for about 2 months. Now all of a sudden it will not always detect the TV. What I need to do to get it working again is to unplug the MDP plug and wait about 15-20 seconds then carefully plug it back in. It may take several times but eventually it will work. Just fiddling with the cables does nothing. There are times I get video but either no audio or audio with a lot of electronic distortion. The only way to fix this is to restart the computer. I am using XBMC as my HTPC software. What is new now is when I am watching a recording the video will go black and the audio will stop for 15-30 sec then the video comes back but no audio for another 15-20 seconds. I can rewind the recording to before it happened and watch with no problem through that section so i don't think it is a corrupted file.
I have looked through console logs but I have no idea what I am looking for if there is a hardware issue. Any thoughts on how to determine if it is a video card issue before I start changing all the wires to the TV? One though I did have was to get a MDP to DVI adapter and connect my monitor to the other MDP port. If it is a MDP port problem then is should happen with both the monitor and the TV.

So you cant really touch the front of this thing coz it will do something...... I cant really put it in my pocket, especially if the hold button isnt physical...
That's exactly why I decided not to buy the Chocolate...
The buttons were just too sensitive. I was hitting pause and play, pause and play, and I didn't even notice I was hitting any buttons...:(

Sounds to me like you'd be better off doing your sorting in your sql query and only pulling the relevant results with something like:
...
ORDER BY COUNT(referrer) DESC
LIMIT 10
Not knowing your table schema that's about as specific as I can get.

Looks good! Only thing I'm not fond of are the bigger avatars (although I will be making mine bigger to fit in), the huge text capabilities (I think this will be abused) and the different colored smilies. But that's just IMHO! ;) The rest of it looks great. Good job!
