Really? So the fact that they did not have laptops with mainstream mobile quad core CPUs before Sandy Bridge when every other computers manufacturer had them is "immaterial" now? With LTE it's the same story all over. After they finally get in a year or two you'll probably be able to say again that it's immaterial. I bet it's very material to those who want iPhone with LTE now. Another major problem here is that Apple sticks to having just one model of iPhone (CDMA vs GSM differences aside). As if all people wanted the same thing. They don't.

No, you're trying to bring attention Apple's lack of using the latest components as why they won't use LTE. That's not the case anymore. They use mobile quad cores now. Therefore, your argument is irrelevant. It doesn't matter what they used to do if their most recent action is different. You need a complete history of them not doing it to support your point. That history doesn't exist.

Apple has no interest in making different sizes/models of iPhones. If you don't care for that, apple isn't for you. They are a greatest common denominator company.

It is not me who decided ... Osama was a Terrorist long before 911 ... you do not seem to know of his involvement ... you should read up on his life of Terrorism.

Yeah, it's all about one guy who was leader of the bad men. And none of the bad men could think for themselves, and now he's gone, they won't know what to do - and we'll all be happy and safe.
    Sleep well!

Oh great! Now Steve Jobs will add an even larger non-visible glossy-ass display and consumers will embrace it, because Steve will convince you its magical.

I hope MobileMe will be free. Syncing with Google via exchange on iOS is decent but there are too many quirks, like not being able to put in custom fields for contacts phone numbers and email addresses (i.e. John Home), and archiving messages when the trash can button is pressed, etc. Also, I want to move away from google calendar because it has been so unreliable these days. So sick of seeing "Oops, we were unable to save this event. Please try again later" after I just spent 2 minutes typing it all in.

Says the guy who must live in an apartment with the shades drawn, or his parents basement, or some other wonderful computer dungeon.

I am surrounded by windows, wonderful views, and don't want to close all my blinds and and be in the dark so that I can use my awesome reflective computer monitor. I appreciate that the glass may be wonderful for some, but understand that it is awful for others. The option for a matte screen is logical. Open your mind, respect the views of others, and stop being a tool.

Take what I say with a grain of salt though, I don't even have half a brain cell.

Agreed, some people just don't get it. I use to remember the days when PC used to come with glossy screens to promote watching movies and a richer colour experience, and the Mac community used to comment that glossy was terrible (which I agree). Then the iMac started to adopt the glossy screen since watching movies were held more important than actual work and the PC were reverting and mixing matte screens back into they line-up, while Apple started to hesitate and only offered anti-glare as an option for a fee. Makes me sick really, why is there a fee for anti-glare. There was never a fee for glossy when it was being phased in initially. Even the ACD have gone glossy.

Lucky for me and others in the same boat as Dell offer matte displays, price competitive and a great warranty compared to :apple: glossy marketing junk of screen options. :p

VMWare is going to smoke Parallels when it comes out. I cant wait. I'm still a little bit miffed though that no one has gotten native partition support so we can use the same partition while virtualizing or dual booting.

That native partion support to use virtualization or dual booting would be awesome, having the best of both worlds (Boot Camp & Virtualization). I look forward to it!

If you want functionality, then go use Windows. Most Mac users are designers and the look of something is just as important as functionality. Steve Jobs may love the look of his day planner, that doesn't mean I have to be stuck with it.

You and the person you quoted imply that UI is not a part of the functionality.

    Am I right?

No, I read that the show actually generates around $160m per year for ABC through advertisers.

You may not like him, but I suppose he is underpaid for the money he can generate...

Oh, and Youtube clip of the Tiger blood/Sinatra/"Dying is for Amateurs"/"I'm bi-winning" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BZA5bOZ6To) interview. :p

Between him and Cryer, that's still half of what the show brings in. And you're still not factoring in production costs.

How am i a geek. I need to be able to keep files on my phone like word docs that I can access at any computer. I prefer a Full keyboard and T-mo sucks many people have these same wants and needs out of a smart phone.

First of all, you can do that on an iPhone already. There are any number of ways to do that. Full keyboard? Yeah, tons of people want those... that's why they're selling so well!

Just got here to Brea an there's about 20 or so in line. Hopefully we can get some update on inventory levels. They didn't sell any yesterday but I don't know if that's because they didn't get any or chose to hold them for today.

    Good luck everyone!

I am also in line at brea. About 11th in line... Using the white one I already got haha. Waiting for a friend

    Uh please.

Google has done a helluva lot to Android since they bought it. Android is unrecognisable now to what it was in 05. They have simply bought a brand name to get their product popular.

In other words, you are talking rubbish sir. Stop accusing people of trolling, when they are simply telling it how it is.

That's simply not what I meant.

And just so that you came to google developing android, they pretty much copied the entire iOS for what it did at that time and have been copying since.

Not denying that they didn't do anything themselves; but Google's Android OS looked moistly like iOS in late 2009. Simply a bad ripoff.

This comes from a Nexus S user; truth isn't that far off from reality.

I kind of have everything I want, so I guess I want me and my girlfriend to be happy for another year?

    Forget that.

I want backyard lawn furniture for the coming summer months, and a Dell Streak once it gets a newer version of Android. :D

I'll probably get the lawn furniture, but I definitely won't get a Dell Streak with 1 year left on a 2 year iPhone contract.

360's main advantage is that it's the only console of the three to release the next generation version. They have a year's head start on the other two.

They're still losing money on the 360, but component costs will drop until they are making a profit on boxes. Don't forget, ALL consoles lose money when they first ship. With the original xbox, they never really caught up, but it looks like they will this time around. And with the PS3 shipping at an even higher price, there's less pressure for them to drop prices. As much money as MS has been losing, Sony stands to lose much more. If Sony doesn't get their act together, I could see MS and Nintendo driving Sony out of the video game business.

That's the goal, but so far they have yet to get out of the red on xbox and 360. And "ish"? You seriously just said that?

It does play GAMES at HD resolutions, right? The original post never said it plays HD dvd's.

Then it is an HD CONSOLE not an HD PLAYER. Player implies HD media.

That's probably why the white iPhone 4 looks fatter on the box.

    Black is slimming.
