I think HTC needs to find a drawing board and a good one cause all their recent phones have looked almost the same.
Apple must be worried, I know. :rolleyes:
The HTC designs are all very good and made well. At the end of the day its hard to make phones look different. They are basically a large screen now. Lets just hope apple fix their breakable glass designs lol.

It seems everybody's had completely unreasonable expectations of Apple's performance recently. They're doing fantastically well, obviously. But I've heard people saying their stock will hit $1000 (from $130/$200), Apple will become the world's first TRILLION dollar company, etc etc etc. When your expectations are unreasonably high, you're bound to be disappointed. But remember, Apple is investing heavily in R&D and engineering, buying-up half of Cupertino. They're not doing all this to keep building the same old iPod's. Whatever top-secret projects their skunkworks are developing right now will hit the market in 2-3 years. Who knows what they're doing now, and what will happen when it finally goes on sale. :apple:

I've wanted hyperlinks and a touch screen on the iPod since forever. Many times I do "shuffle songs", then it lands on an artist or album that I'd like to hear more of. It would be great to be able to click on the artist name or the album and then jump right there.

Wouldn't it be helpful to see a Gmail-style snippet of your new emails visible when you unlock your phone? Or possibly a small calendar display so you can see at a glance that there's a meeting you're booked into later? I guess it might be difficult to integrate these things without dramatically reducing the space visible for apps but I can imagine a lot of people having a use for this kind of functionality and Apple is denying people the choice at the moment.

Ideally, what I should be able to see instead is list of all Word documents on my computer and all connected devices in a very organized way that makes it easy to find any document in less than a second. I shouldn't care that one part of a report is in my local folder, another part is on flash drive and some other part is written by another dude and is on a network server, but file system wants me to care of these irrelevant things. I can think of hundreds other examples where file system gets in the way of organization and productivity. Basically, it's not the best way to manage documents and media and it should be superseded by something entirely different. And IMHO for Apple moving forward is so principal that they are willing to reject archaic ways of doing some things even if it's currently the ONLY way of doing them. Apple is like - do it the best way or don't do it at all.

I am a little confused.
It says when you move toward the screen the appropriate control appears. So say you move toward the scroll wheel and it appears. Then do you scroll by making a scrolling motion in the air but close to the screen? Or do you scroll by rubbing your finger along the image of the scroll wheel?
One other thought.....when Apple introduced the ROKR, they said it's iTunes on your phone. That sounded a bit odd to me. Apple has never referred to the software on the iPod as iTunes.
But maybe with this increased interactivity Apple will put something on this larger screen that resembles the iTunes screen (Library, Playlists, Video Lists), possibly having iTunes on your iPod? Just an idea.

Not really. There are some markets where Verizon LTE is able to pull down over 10 MB/s, which T-mobile's HSPA+ and WiMax can't touch.
AT&T's HSPA+ can pull down 21 MB theoretically. 4x faster than HSPA 7.2.

Don't bet on it. IF AT&T gets them...trust me...the rates will go up.
Not if they're grandfathered in! AT&T has stated in their proposal papers to the FCC that they're going to honor the T-Mobile plans in contract even if they upgrade phones.

Yep, and me, I'm NOT coming back from my Logitech MX 1000 Laser. Mighty Mouse is only serving during those 30 or so min a week when the MX (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/features/opticaltopics/AR/EN,CRID=2090) is charging, and that's 30 min too long.
You'll get no argument from me here. Been using the MX-1000 since my PC days and love it to death. My trackpad sees the use isntead of a MM, but same feelings :)
But I can see Steve Jobs announcing the improved bluetooth MM:
It's WWDC and he's in the middle of his stevenote. he 'accidentally hits something' and messes something or other up. He acts angry and yanks the MM away from its cord.
The cord just pops off and he pulls it out of hte USB port.
Then he keeps on using it as if nothing happened.
"oh, and we have the new bluetooth mighty mouse available now!

I don't really know what the BFD is with the hype around these music locker services. These services are nothing new (not that Apples does anything new), they have been around in smaller scale the past few years. Problem is, it took too long to upload music, the streaming quality was average at best, and they were too expensive.
I'd like to see how Apple would improve on these services. They will integrate into the iPod UI. That is great. Possibly better upload times (or no uploading at all). But the benefits end there. Cellular connection are slowing at a quicker rate than cellphones are becoming faster. And now we data caps?
Is anyone on here going to delete all the music on their iPhone to be able to pay $20 per year to regain a subpar stream of there very own music? And at a detriment to their limited data amount? Am I missing something??
