The big news today as far as I can tell is that Steve went with a collared shirt instead of a mock neck; continues to shun belts.
I can't get excited about iPods. A 12" screened device that can play movies, CDs, DVDs, and run office software - yes, an ultraportable laptop would be useful.

A good spy would've eliminated the cat. I'd rank you guys as "James Bond villain" rather than "Super Spys." :D
Next one has to be iPhoto KT, then I can see if I increase your ranking from "Hawt" to "Spunkrat."

I assume you're providing a link to a similar thread. However, I'm unable to access it.
Its the Marketplace forum. Thats odd, the link works for me.

your best bet is probably to get an external modem - either a geo-port modem or USB modem (if you have a USB card)

The 5G iPods still can't display any more than 320 x 240 pixels; the only way you'll be able to see the full 640 x 480 resolution is to output it to a TV or watch it on your computer.
I'm hoping that Apple will announce at MacWorld Expo that it's putting digital TV tuners in the 24" iMac. The tuners are cheap now and do NTSC, ATSC, and QAM (digital cable). Now that would be a good use for that big screen!

Hi,
is there a program that automatically embeds the cover arts downloaded with itunes "Get Cover" button to the specific music files?
And is there a program that provides cover arts from a specific site you want to use?

Personally, I use T-mobile now and get a few more dropped calls than if I were using Verizon but they are also cheaper and have much nicer phones because they support GSM.
Similar for me... I spent about four years with Sprint and now about three with T-Mo. I've been happier with the latter, although I was close to switching to Verizon or Cingular. And we've done that thread a thousand times...
But, so this business of using a new frequency is interesting. It seems quite a gamble, especially since it's just T-Mobile and apparently even just T-Mo North America. One replier above stated that these new phones will be based on WiMax. This seems suspect, because WiMax, as far as I know, only goes down to 2 GHz, and one of the frequencies T-Mo is spending so much money on is 1.7.... I wonder what the deep meaning of leaving the GSM frequency is going to be.....

Hello, I am new to the site and am glad to be on board. I am not a computer person just a low end user! I have the original blueberry Mac, keyboard and want to sell it. I had the drive cleared so it is like new. How does one go about selling it?;) MS
Just like BennieBoy said, It's against the rules to sell things outside of the marketplace forum, which you cannot see until you gain 250 posts.
If I were you, I would try Craigslist or Kijiji before anything else.

Airport Express is GREAT! You will love it!
Of the four people I've helped / convinced to switch - three of them HAD to buy an Airport Express. Sure there are lots of wireless routers out there... but AirTunes is just cool.
Yea it is. I have it in my college dorm room which is a suite with 2 rooms and a living room. All my roomates and I can be sitting on the couch in the living room, online, playing music on my speakers, and printing...

Now the Mac app store is up and moving along with Apples own iLife suite apps, would people prefer buying them separately from the app store. or buying the retail box. ?

Still worth it to head to the Gateway over anywhere else, yeah? You gotta assume the Apple Store will have thousands of these things, I hope?

awesome, you guys are great help. But don't I have to pay for OS 9.0? I don't want to buy an out-of-date OS just to delete it when I upgrade to OS X...
but I'll look around Apple.com
Thanks

Hi Guys,
A mac mini (2 months old) connected to a GOOD UPS is now rebooting on it's own 3-4 times a day.
There are log files generated for these events but are too detailed for my understanding.
Is there a simple event viewer (like MS eventvwr.msc) that can show me failed services, failed operations, etc., so I can try and track down what the heck is going on?
Any help would be appreciated.

It's an easy way for people to vent and I suppose that is a tangible benefit. It would be a mistake to use it as a means for deciding which article to read.

All these crazy profits quarter after quarter, and they can't lower the prices...
Unreal greed.
Lowering prices when you already can not manufacturer enough units is just foolish. Apple is strategically gathering cash so they can make more investments and make new products.
Investors win because the growth stock grows, consumers win because Apple will use their money to re-create or create another new product category.

If you don't want the optical drive, there is a special data doubler you can get for the 2009 Mac Mini which allows you to have two drives installed.
You could have a SSD for a boot drive and a high capacity mechanical hard disk to store your data, or a few mechanical hard disks for maximum storage.
OWC does have an install video and iFixit does have a good detailed guide on how to upgrade the hard drive in your Mac Mini. Well worth taking a look at those. The advice they give is very useful even for the experienced tech.

The simple answer is dont use photoshop Im afraid! It does a really poor job of consistent spacing and cornering.
You'd be far better using illustrator for this, or InDesign/QuarkXPress will manage clean and precise dotted/dashed lines too.
If you don't have access to those, and you must use PS, the only options you have is to play with the spacing under "Brush Tip Shape" in the big Brushes Palette, and you could also tweak the Angle Jitter setting under Shape Dynamics.
"Direction" will cause the orientation of the brushtip shape to follow the direction of the line you'rre drawing or the path you're stroking.
Good luck!
