I went to the 3G launch at cpw at teesside park. Queue was about 20/30 people at 7am. It opened at 8. If you know it it went from cpw down to brantano. Sold out of 16gbs about half way through the queue.
I think the town centres will be less popular and should be a better bet if you really want a particular model. Plus there's more shops - I think mbro still has two o2's and a cpw?
I hope it's easier this time as I don't fancy another early start. Hopefully other carriers will have it on thursday too to dilute the queues

I think that within a year or two even consumers will be demanding more picture quality. Even cheaper displays are beginning to have more contrast and wider gamut than crt's used to have. With new displays consumers start to see PQ problems with older content. This leads to demand for higher PQ content. Here in Finland, sd-dtv was generally considered high quality with older crt's, but when hd-lcd's got more common, people started complaining about artifacts.
And maybe even smaller movie companies start realizing that they need color management...
Well Said!! Agree totally --- thanks for the thoughts.

I don't think that people here will clue you in as to how to pirate a piece of software. You'll have to search for that yourself. I can suggest a free program called Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net). I'm not sure if you use Sound Studio specific features, but Audacity does quite a bit. Take a look and see if it helps you.

Michael Moore? I stopped paying attention when you said that.
the cash in your pocket really isnt yours but your assets are.
Interested to hear your explanation of this.

wow, that explains your attitude then. Apple has never been interested in catering to technology fetishists like you, and never will be. why don't you go post constructive comments on Android forums instead of negative ones on Apple forums?
I'm fairly confident that anyone who owns an Apple product would disagree with you. Most would say they WANT the latest and greatest technology, but Apple doesn't make it available.
Don't be bitter.

Not for nothing unless the dev-team makes an explicit statement of releases like muscle nerd usually does, most of those sites and "news postings" are usually wrong. All we know at this point is that geohot doesn't even own an iPad 2 which means we're no where close.

Very glad to see this isn't just me. :-) I noticed this on my iPhone 4 the other night and after a couple times quitting iPhoto and iTunes in random orders I got it to sync correctly. Then I plugged in my iPhone last night and it messed it all up again, same with my iPad. I disabled photo syncing on both until this gets fixed, so now I'll be checking for updates daily. When you have a library of 10,000+ pictures that are updated almost daily, events getting messed up like this is such a big hassle. :p

XLD (http://tmkk.hp.infoseek.co.jp/xld/index_e.html) is great and my personal favorite.
Definitely have a look at xACT (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/14246), too.

Is anyone else having this issue? Mine is not apple monitor but samsung monitor which works fine when hooked up to windows laptop.
When I connected to my new mbp 15(I tried discreet and internal) and I see screen flicking on the external monitor here and there.
Has anyone experience this? I see some article on flickering issue on apple monitor but haven't seen any on 3rd party monitor hooked up to mbp.

That I'm not sure about. I'm leaning towards "no" though since games tend to disable all the monitors save for the one they are playing in. It might work though if you played your game in a window and not at full screen.

I returned to my home in Nara from a business trip. The people where I live there faces looked shocked, soon after they told me what had happened I was in shock also. I arrived home to see the second airplane strike the tower. A friend of mine was stuck in New York City for 3 days, he could not get out of the city.
I am old enough to barely remember the Kennedy assassination, you never forget where you were when it happened, the World Trade Center is the same in that respect.

If Apple allowed mods like themes, widgets, keyboard changes, etc, I'd agree. We're in this thread for a reason tho.
I hate to burst your bubble. But most androil phones do not have the latest and greatest OS. How do I know this? I own a Samsung Epic 4g. I just got Froyo. I will probably never see Gingerbread. Until they find a way to update the phones to the latest OS. Android sucks!! I love my iPad and miss the iPhone.

Hi, I just noticed this thread and if you happen to be interested in a custom firmware psp with a bunch of extras I can give you a link to pictures and more info. I'm not going to list details because chances are that your not interested.
Cybergypsy has an opened 8GB iPhone but she doesn't want an iPod Touch, she will trade even for a 4GB iPhone. So if you can a hold of one of them, that'll work out for both of you.
I want to get rid of my touch so I can get a iPhone, thus the trade. Thanks for the offer, but I do not need nor want a PSP.

Okay it works, downloaded it from Cydia and then with a SFTH client.
But it has to upload the files at the speed of my internet connection, which isn't blistering fast. Converting and then with iTunes would go faster.
Isn't there another way with which you can put the video's on the iPod with the cable?

If you plan to process and edit images on the road, th extra screen real-estate will be well-worth it. If not, just get a very good external monitor to use at home.
Paul
Compuwar, sorry Sir, it took awhile for me to reply. Thanks for the tip about editing on the road. :) I like the monitor Mr.Noisy recommended, the Dell 2209wa. People are raving about this monitor and amazon has them in stock. Thanks to all who have contributed! :D

Someone on the 68k Macintosh (http://68kmla.net/forums/index.php?sid=9757cfe5acee5202175ed5f07f335739) forum might be interested. Lots of retro computer guys there are on the lookout for older systems even if they are PPC.
I'd do this. A Powerbook 180 is a great computer, and is of value to anyone into retro Mac stuff. Don't throw it out - at least give it away for free there (you'll have lots of takers). You probably could even sell it for ten or twenty bucks.
I'd buy it from you, but I already have one. :)
