Hi, I just got my first apple product (a macbook pro) a few days ago. I bought XCode 4 from the appstore, installed it and created a new OpenGL ES project.
After a few frames of running with no code modifications from me, the program crashed with LLVM ERROR: Cannot yet select...
So, after trying various things, the project crashes in the same way regardless of the XCode version (tried XCode 3 also) and regardless of the iPhone or iPad version.
I don't have access to the developer forums because I didn't pay the $99 to be a paid developer.
Does anybody have any ideas on what I should try next?
Thanks!

He's thinking that the app checks if there is a VPN connection on the iPad. If the connection is done on an iPhone then tethered to the iPad it wouldn't see a VPN connection on the iPad.
So I had my friend try it and iphone doesn't seem to be able to connect to VPN and do mywi at the same time. VPN disconnects after mywi connects and won't reconnect after.
PPTP vpn on my android doesn't work with my firewall so i can't test it either

einsteinium, so you plan on being there at 6am? And I thought I was being smart by being there at 7am. I guess I may have to do the same, just in case.
Thank goodness that Tully's is across the street, because I will be in major need of caffeine that early in the morning.

Yea, my 3Gs is starting to act up a bit. I'm just going to get that replacement back panel and repair my phone so I can sell it...
But my concern is this: What if the iPhone 5 is just a 4.5 (slight spec bump), and since the externals are essentially the same, they could still come out in June. Getting a iPhone 4 now at full price would really bite.
But, what if it DOESN'T come out in June and it really comes out in Sept (still only a 4.5), anyone who waited until June would then only be 3 months away from the 5, and would probably prefer to wait rather then getting a 4 (unless Apple cuts the price a bit). That means those people would have waited 5-6 months while using a rapidly aging phone with a lot of remose for Apple for not being more open with their time table.
With all of these rumors of the timeline shifting, it makes it hard for people who WANT an iPhone to not look towards other options.

It's good - if a bit creepy. Haha.
However, I feel the composition could be improved in my opinion. Try placing the masque along one of the rule-of-thirds cross sections. And, this might not be your taste, but I prefer a more creamy bokeh. I feel this one is a little harsh and makes me wonder if I forgot to put my contacts in.
But overall very creative and interesting. Good job.

Hello,
i am from russia, mac from still owning an old white macbook, now want to upgrade to mb pro 15", i don't like glossy screens(even have a film on ipad) and there is a problem in russia to order matte screen for mb pro, so i gonna buy base model.
Therefore, the question appears which film to choose?
radtechs, powersupports, or bodyguards?

also i see that moshi and zagg have films, but the they are not for screen, right?
I've heard from different us customers that powersupport films are great, but these opinions were made concerning iphone/ipads, whats about mb screens i dont have a clue. Also important for me:
1) the film must cover all the screen including the bezel, i've watched utube videos of powersupport film installing, and i see it covers all incl. the bezel, whats about radtech andbguarz?
2) film should not decrease screen quality.
I also love Emma Watson and

Another thing Apple should do in a redesigned ACD is to get rid of the external brick power supply.
I don't mind having external brick, it fits nicely under my PowerMac. What I would want to see is longer cable between host and display!! I'd kill for a 5 meter cable.

I love Infinifolders, have it on all my devices. I have held off on Infinidock because I thought it did not really add more icons to the main dock view, just allowed you to scroll the 6 that were there over so you can have as many as you want, right. Similar to what happens when you double click the home button for fast app switching. I might still go that route, I was just hoping for something that would allow more right on each page.
Nope. You can add up to 10 per page (at least on my iPhone, I wonder if it's more on my iPad). Regardless, it just starts squishing them all together. This is where having Shrink really starts to help.

To answer your question, no.
I think the blk requires another port on the mobo or something to give it power.
Also- the space under the keyboard is pretty tight as it is so good luck getting the optic fiber to run to each key.
Besides there would be no way to control it. The power button on the Air is where the eject button is on other Macs, the eject button is on F12 and thus F5/F6 to control the backlighting would not work.

Just out of curiosity has anyone ever sat down with a meter and figured out what folding costs you in electricty. I shut down a server I ran 24/7 for years (and replaced it with a HP WHS) and realized a $20/month decrease in my electric bill. That server wasn't really doing all that much. It hosted some web sites that no one visted and ran an email server that serviced one user. I imagine had that thing been folding with all its unused cycles (which were many) it would have been much more than $20.

I like 1Password (http://agilebits.com/products/1Password/Mac) for archiving my serial numbers and other passwords. You can even store the email in 1Password as reference.
For archiving check out Mail Archiver X (http://www.mothsoftware.com/drupalmoth/content/what-mail-archiver-x) It allows you to export and use their database for viewing so it's easy to find an old email. It also allows you to export in other formats as well like FileMaker. Works with Entourage, Eudora, Mail, Outlook, Postbox, Powermail, Thunderbird.
EagleFiler (http://c-command.com/eaglefiler/) is another option by the maker of SpamSieve that can archive your mail.
Both have demos.

(1) In regards to Excel, the program has become the industry standard kind of by default more than anything. If you look back through it's "history", Excel really hasn't changed much since the beginning. Sure, the interface is better, and the introduced more comprehensive Macros and other crap that just makes it confusing for most users, but the structure and base features are exactly the same. Frankly, the only features that are worrysome when sending Excel documents via email are the Macros, and those don't even work properly from computer to computer, let alone across different programs (ie. Excel to "Lasso"). So, long story short, I'm very excited to see what Apple comes up with and really don't think interoperability will be an issue at all.
(2) In regards to Pages, and the complaints I've seen on here about it, let's not forget that in the world of software, iWork is a BABY. MS Office has been around forever, whereas Pages is only a few years old. And frankly, it already works light years better than Word could ever dream to. If you've ever attempting to do anything in Word other than type, you know it is so chock full of bugs and quirks that by the end of your project you'd rather write it out free hand.
So bring on Lasso, and Pages '07. I can not WAIT to delete office from my Mac and be done with everything that has that dirty M-word on it forever.
That is all.

hey 100Teraflops glad your getting some good advice, the good monitor is a must for photography, check the dell 2209wa (i think it's still about) or the HP 2310i, both nice monitors, but the internal raid i have is a software raid 1 mirror, works well for my needs. Are you really sure you want to wait for the 'latest' Mac Pro? do you need the latest chipset? there are plenty of great deals on used machines, ideal for photography, save the $$$ on the MP and spend the rest on some quality Lenses, I know a photographer that uses a G5 with no problems :)
remember as firestater states, raid is no back up plan, I use a raid 1 external system as it suits my needs.
Buying an older machine has crossed my mind. I will checkout the monitors, as I am not very picky, at least not yet. Thanks for clarifying your RAID 1 setup, as I am finally grasping the concept of RAID let alone when combined with the Mac Pro.
Also, I have not thought about a used Mac Pro from e-bay etc.., as an Apple refurb is nice, because I have a piece of mind with the warranty and I want to buy one-to-one in order to receive 'accredited' instruction pertaining to OS X, iLife, and all the included goodies. But you are right, I can save a lot of money and buy a camera, some glass, a case, and extra memroy cards on top of a Mac Pro. Food for thought!
I have to contact Apple regarding one-to-one, because I need to know if I can add it after my purchase. I know the web-site says something similar to this: "...with the purchase of a new machine...," but Apple reps have been known to bend the rules. ;) I want a 6 core or 8 core, but I am still thinking that a quad core will suffice for my editing, photography, and software needs. The difference between the aforementioned machines is measured by seconds, for the most part. Did I just talk myself out of a 6 or 8 core? :) Ultimately, I have to decide before Thunderbolt is replaced by Lightningbolt! LOL

I don't understand how they are able to accurately compare game revenue for iOS to game revenue from Nintendo, when Apple doesn't separate games from other genres. (or do they?)
It would be nice if metacritic scores were posted on games like the tomato score is for movies.

This is the best I've come across. It's low profile, sturdy, one button controls calls and switching tracks in itunes and best of all, works with thick cases (ie candyshell).
