As far as the guarantees go, this is what I see at negrielectronics.com (http://negrielectronics.com/apple-iphone-unlocking-service-permanent-solution.html) right now:
Your iPhone is now unlocked permanently!
Unlocked. Permanent. 100% Guaranteed or your money back*.
Your order may require verification. Please look for an email from us to further verify your order. This is a high fraud item and we take every precaution and approach fraud very seriously.
*(If the unlock is not successful, please email us a video link showing your IMEI and the unlock being unsuccessful).
**To deter possible fraud, we also reserve the right to remotely lock your device by IMEI
That's awfully tempting...they accept major CCs. You could always dispute the charge...
This is what is scary about this new unlocking avenue. Obviously someone has access to Apple's DB and from this statement, it seems like the access they have allows the to lock it. This means they could lock anyone's iPhone at anytime, even factory unlocked units. Even the carriers do not have this level of access. I was told by the Rogers unlocking team, that they could unlock but could not relock any phones...only Apple had that access. These unlockers have greater access to the Apple systems than the carriers do (already obvious, since they can unlock multiple carriers and the carriers can only unlock their own).

[QUOTE=Cameront9]So with WMP gone and now VPC gone, the only MAJOR software developed for Macs by Microsoft is Office?

WMP may be killed but Microsoft made Flip4Mac which plays .wma and .wmv useing quick time. It works fine.

By the way you can still download WMP here.
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.aspx?pid=download&location=/mac/download/misc/winmp_osx.xml&secid=80&ssid=8&flgnosysreq=True
Ah, but MS didn't develop Flip4Mac. As far as I know, they didn't even buy it. They just worked out a deal to distribute it.

That is NOT how it works in Germany!!
If you got your iPhone 4 for 1 Euro you are paying 89,96 Euro MONTHLY, which equals about 130 US-Dollars ----> :eek:
See this link:
http://www.t-mobile.de/iphone/tarife/0,18383,22271-_,00.html
And after you got your iPhone 4 you can NOT unlock it for 99 Euros, T-Mobile Germany specifically excludes the iPhone 4 from this offer. All other T-Mobile Phones you can unlock, not the iPhone 4. ---> :mad:
huh? i got my iphone 4 at tmobile and got it unlocked for 100 after explaining to them that i'll be uproad for some time and need to use a foreign sim. was no prob at all. u cant expect someone to use their sim in australia for example. ud be broke after usin the net for 5 mins ^^

It looks neat. However, I think I would get tired of having an uncomfortable large chunk of plastic on my wrist all day. Plus having to detach it and unfold the keyboard is too much of a bother. I could also imagine how banged up the screen would get from all the objects the wrist encounter during the day. Also is it water proof? I am rather fond of washing my hands.
In all practicality the iPhone design is the best so far. Slide out keyboards are handy but add too much bulk.
Edit: Actually I should say the Newton Message Pad design is the best so far. I just consider the iPhone a modern Newton with a cellphone added on.

Hello.
I was wondering if someone can help me make up my mind if i should buy the macbook 13" i5 core or the i7 one.
I'm using my laptop for gaming and school.
The game im mostly playing is Heroes of Newerth, so i hoped that someone could help me pick which one i should choose - and if it's worth the extra money buying the i7 Core.
Greetings :apple:

The retail discs will work in all Macs (assuming they meet the basic requirements of the OS), while the grey system restore discs are only for the specific model, i.e., you can't use a grey iMac restore disc on a Mac Mini or Power Mac, even if it is the same OS version.

He isn't selling keys.
He is selling locks.
And I'm not buying.
it's little more than a drop in the bucket.
And as we all know, drops are what it takes to fill the bucket. I'd think sales from iTMS are far from insignificant for Apple. iPod wouldnt be were it is now without the Music Store (and vice versa). I'm not gonna pretend to know, but thats just my thoughts.

You can't boot OS X from zfs, you can't use spotlight very well on zfs, quite a lot of applications/games won't work properly because zfs isn't case-insensitive and there are some more small problems. Zfs is great for a fileserver and various other kind of servers but in a Mac it's still hfs+ that is the best option (even though zfs is a much better filesystem).
We are well aware of this.
The boot drive is NOT going to be ZFS based, Mac OS X cannot boot from ZFS anyway.

Try watching YouTube in HTML5 instead of Flash. There should be a big improvement.

Try putting a space between the quote after .jpg and the word "border." (<img src="ACR_updatedmap.jpg"border="0" usemap="#Map">) There should be a space there. I don't know if this will solve the problem, but it may. Safari is usually a lot more forgiving than other browsers about little errors.

i used to own a white macbook 13" and 3g iPad for on the road. Sold the two and bought the MBA - best thing i ever did. The screen on this thing is amazing and its far more functional than an iPad. I have a full mac with me all the time now :)
I too , am smitten with the 11"MBA,I am going to go refurb, and pop in an OWC 360gb HDD, and enjoy the ride:cool:, that is after I submit it to my friend Scottsdale for approval;):D:cool:,LOL

Well, it's still the most annoying, continuous issue with OSX. Steve keeps saying it has finally been improved, but it still sucks. :p
Remember when they released the Finder with the side panel on the left side? Man, where were we without that? I can't even remember how bad Finder was in 10.2.x :o
We used the Favourites folder.
so... new macbooks wont have this yet.. :(
After Leopard is released in the new MacBooks will have it.

The last line of the first rule in style.css seems to be one of the culprits.
html, body, div, span, applet, object, iframe, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, img {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
border: 0;
outline: 0;
font-size: 100%;
}
If you change the value of font-size the fonts on the page adjust accordingly... except for the page you go to after clicking on Submit, where the Main Menu and Contact Info font size stay constant no matter how much you fiddle with that value.
Somewhere that font-size rule is being altered by another rule. Unfortunately there are so many levels of nesting in the HTML markup and unused selectors and rules in the .css files that I cannot even begin to guess at where that is happening.
My only suggestion is to make a new stylesheet with only the rules the page is using and then comment them out one by one, until you find the offender.
