That was easy! Thanks! I looked at some Belkin's, but not those models. Thanks again.
Don't forget to enter in "12345" as the code on the Belkin page in order to get those switches half off!

Am I the only one bothered by this??
So it seems like everytime I open the App Store or iTunes on my iPhone 3GS I get asked for my password!! I don't care about an app that didn't update or a download that failed earlier! I just want to do what I'm doing now, and not be bothered by entering my password for some reason that I don't even remember or care about.
Is this a useless rant or do others feel the same way?
it does get rather annoying to put your password in each and every time you download an app. they should have it that once you turn your phone on you enter a master password and everything is set.

Has any one else noticed, or has it already been pointed out, that on the iCal image on the apple.com Leopard preview site
http://www.apple.com/macosx/leopard/ical.html
we see the iCal app open but the little black triangle under the icon in the dock is missing.

It will take a bit to get it packaged up and ready for us.

Put the Windows disk on the ICH (system's SATA ports), as the card cannot dual boot like that in a MP (been tried before and has never worked).
Other than the Windows disk, it will work.
Is this something specifically to do with the Areca 1880 series cards and the Mac Pro 2010 or does this ring true for all other 3rd party RAID controllers?
When you previously said this is because one does not have access to firmware/EFI settings and can't change the boot device I am wondering why this is required, wouldn't there be a loader\boot menu that one can bring up? How would I then select between the primary OSX install on SSD1/Areca and Win 7 on SSD2/ICH if there wasn't a boot menu? Or is it simply some kind of limitation that will not allow the Mac Pro to detect and display in the boot menu stage any drives attached to the Areca controller other than the one that was set as boot drive in OSX?

AAPL up 3% aftermarket.
I think that was pre-announcement. I read where trading was halted until 4:50 EDT. Still have 7 minutes to see if the "soft" iPad numbers cause the weak hands to sell.
I'm guessing that Apple will drop about 3% from the 4PM close with people focusing on the iPad numbers.
Guess I was completely wrong.

I think that's a much more likely possibility. It's smart to patent anything you invent, even if you have no intention of using it for anything.
I agree with you 100% remember ipod mini in the laptop thing, also side lighting on the macs etc..... there are hundreds and hundreds of unused apple patents

Just a tip. If the RAM goes bad it will likely be only one of the two sticks. The MB/MBP can run on only one stick - which is actually one way to figure out which one went bad. I know because I got some bad RAM from OWC and they had me run my MBP with one, then the other, to help troubleshoot the problem.

In order to receive the benefits of ssd wouldn't you want your apps on it instead of the magnetic drive? If your apps are on the magnetic drive your ssd is really only helping improve boot speed, not helping app launch time/response etc.

I hope not it's not like the iPhone where the Verizon version would not only get updates later, but jailbreaks as well.
That's what I'm afraid of and I haven't seen it discussed anywhere.

I just got my BSE order today (bought it when they did 10% discount + free shipping). I got a open envelope and packing slip, no screen protectors. It appears they didn't seal the envelope when sending, because the adhesive to seal the envelope is unused.
Do you think BSE forgot to put them in there, or someone from the post office jacked em?
Has anyone else received an order like this?

My experience has always been that they stop at the first issue. Then there can be a whole series of fixes, submissions, reviews, and rejections. Each iteration brings you closer to approval but never with any feel for how close you might be. But your mileage may vary.
So if one as 3 things wrong with the app, A, B, C. They would usually tell you A after the first submission. And then you fix A, and resubmit. And then they tell you B, and then you fix and resubmit... etc...

Anyone heard whether the jailbreak Comex was working on was patched by 4.3.1, or was that just speculation that it would patch the exploit?

Basically I'm wanting to know if I can buy a 27" iMac spec'd out on the CPU and GPU side. And the with the ram and hdd at the bare minimum or 4th and 1tb respectively. And then turn around, go to owc and get my ram and ssd upgrade through them and install myself.
I do consider myself adequate at performing these pc building and having experience performing such upgrades on my mbp's.
Thanks,

Yeah, make sure it isn't some CPU enclousure. My old computer table had a cubby for the CPU and it was always hot in there. I finally decided to remove the back panel and the temp dropped a great deal. I never measured to see how hot it was in there, but 140 seems a bit much.

Bit of advice needed please. I'm in need of a system for creating web galleries that's, to put it bluntly, foolproof. What I'm really after is something that conforms to the following criteria:
 Free.
Will run on a Linux server (can use SQL/PHP etc).
Will allow me to upload the images to the correct directory via FTP, and run a script to create the gallery. (I could just manage to get my computer illiterate Dad to master this, as I've spent the past two years getting him to learn basic FTP.)
It doesn't have to resize the images on the server, for sake of uploading speed that will be done on the local computer before uploading.
Will conform to a pre-defined template once the images are uploaded and the script is run (basically foolproof).
If anyone could direct me to anything which sounds like it's suitable, it would be appreciated. Google searches have not proved fruitful, it's one of those things where finding a useful search string is incredibly difficult.
