Sounds like the iPhone might actually be real! :D
...But the motive behind those kind words is still uncertain. Does Robert Dotson know about the iPhone, trying to convince Apple to make it a T-mobile exclusive, or have they already signed the contract, and these kind words towards Apple were more of a "thanks?"

I noticed in the linked document that Xray tools could be written "using the D programming language." I wonder if this is the first sign of Apple finally deciding to come up with a replacement for Objective-C. D is certainly a very nice looking language and, along with LLVM, would allow Apple to have something that looks like it could one day be on par with the excellent C#.
For more on D see http://www.digitalmars.com/d/

Just wait until they add Thunderbolt to the design. I know more than one person who never even looked at the MBA for its lack of a high speed port.

Oh how I wish I had bought stock when Jobs was just coming back on board. I seem to remember it has being around $10.00 share in the late 90's. But, at least I have some now. And, I keep contributing to their bottom line. Drink the Koolaid!!
AAPL was about $7.50/share (split adjusted) in December 2001.

Holding myself back form a shuffle for running, but I will definitely be buying a set top box when they come out. They must have been delaye din getting those together, or they wouldn't have given a sneak peak.
Not like they could really release movies without any hope to the consumer of playing them on a TV.

I would like the 3d fad to be just that....a fad. It gives me headaches, as does virtual reality. Spend the extra dough to make a better game, not 3d that does nothing for the product...like Avatar.

I have a similar setup also. My "media center" is a mac mini connected to my TV. It has external drives that store all my media. I can access the data from my 2 macbook pros, iphones, and my apple tv in another room. It works great.
If you wen't with the two drive setup through the mac mini... why not make one drive nothing but the media storage hub. Then make the other drive the backup drive for everything in the house. (partition it 4 ways?) including a backup for the media on the 1st drive.
The way you described you would be backing up time machine backups. To me thats a little over redundant.... then again, you can never have too many backups.

And? They are still losing marketshare. Apple is growing much slower than the market. And yes Android ships more *phones* than Apple ships *total* iOS *devices* (iPhone, iPod touch, iPad) per quarter (40 million Android smartphones compared to 33 million iOS devices).
And? No one expects Apple to be the market share leader. There are dozen of companies selling Androids. None come close to Apple's market share. None come close to Apple's profitability.
As an AAPL holder, what more can I ask?

So i got this iMac off eBay for just 2.15! It's a tangerine model with a 10 gig HD and 160 mb RAM, running 10.3.9. Actually came with Word for mac installed. Gonna get a usb dongle to get it on the web. My only complaint is that I can't sync my iPhone.
:eek:that's the exact same spec (but i had a 6gig hdd) that my first imac was but i paid 25

Anyone getting "There was a network error" message when opening the app? It's been doing it on my iphone and ipad since last night. I can go to their website and listen online fine.
I just checked and it works fine on my iPhone4.

I think he means you can add a new entry into 1Password with your serial numbers etc.. Not to archive email.
You can drag the email with serial number into the 1Password entry and it will store that email for reference.
It's not for archiving all emails, but it's nice to be able to keep the original email with your 1Password entry.

I've got an iBook G4 1.2 and use FCP on it. In fact, FCP HD. If you know your way around the FCP's Media Manager, you can compress your DV footage down to something the iBook can handle. It won't look as good, but for straight editing with no effects and so forth, it works terrifically. Then you transfer your edit "file" back to a faster machine (in my case, a G4 dual 533) and do all your uncompressed DV renders in there.
So my answer is this, yes, the iBook can handle FCP if you:
1) Don't use exotic effects -- just straight edits
2) Use Media Manager to compress your DV footage to smaller, faster files
3) Use another, faster machine to handle the full-on rendering of the original, uncompressed footage
Now, having said that, I've used the same technique on an iBook G3 600 ("son of Pismo") with the same great results. On that machine, it TOTALLY maxes out the processor, but it still works.
Hope that helped...

In short what I want is:
Complete music library on my TimeCapsule 2 TB (containing my 750 GB Mp3/AAC music and my 600 GB Apple Lossless music)
Separate music library exclusively for my iPhone 4 with the best 5 start tracks from my Apple Lossless music collection converted to AAC 256 and the best 5 start tracks from my Mp3/AAC library.
I will use the complete music library on my Time Capsule on both my Sonos music system and on my iMac
Is this possible

Isn't the graph misleading? Is it 400 thousand units or 400 million units?
Edit: They've changed the legend of the graph. It's correct now. Nevermind.

While you have them open in Preview, select all (Cmd + A), and go to the File->Print Selected... or something like that. Click the PDF button in the lower left hand corner of the print dialog.
lol. Not sure why I didn't think of this since I "print" using the PDF option all the time  Oh well. This should work.
