Here's a strange and vexing problem. My Mac Mini is connected to a Linksys (WAG354G) wireless network. Its Wireless connection is very stable and reliable. But weirdly, the Mac Mini has trouble maintaining an internet connection. The only way to get it back is to restart the Linksys and then the Mac Mini. this is a bit inconvenient if I just want to browse the web off the Mini.
No other mac in the house has this problem. We have desktops (two G4s) and laptops (two MacBook Airs and a MacBook Pro) and none of them display this problem. So, I'm guessing it's not the Linksys that's at fault.
Anyone else see this behaviour?

I think im the only person who thinks that a peice of equipment the size of a deck of cards that holds over 15k songs is NOT too big??? I have a 40G pod and I wouldn't want it any smaller...If I needed a pod with more storage I would buy a 60G in a heart beat
You posted just as I was finishing off my post. Just wanted to agree with what you said. I've got a 2G 20gb model (nearly full) and if it wasn't for the fact that I'm saving up for an iBook I'd have bought one already.

wow, that explains your attitude then. Apple has never been interested in catering to technology fetishists like you, and never will be. why don't you go post constructive comments on Android forums instead of negative ones on Apple forums?
I'm fairly confident that anyone who owns an Apple product would disagree with you. Most would say they WANT the latest and greatest technology, but Apple doesn't make it available.
Don't be bitter.

A. Which version of Xcode?
B. What kind of file are you pasting into? .cpp, .mm, something else?
C. If you disable syntax coloring, does the problem disappear?

I, as well, use Yahoo as my dummy account. I even use it with Mail.app. My suggestion is to configure you outgoing mail server to that of your ISP if it isn't working. I know Semo.net and Cox both have this problem of STMP outgoing mail. I have to use "mail.semo.net" for me to send my mail. But it works.

Don't have a product recomendation ready but looks like u will deffinetly need a document feeder. I have a flatbed scanner without feeder and wouldn't even dare to dream about scanning 100+ pages on the same day
As for the usb, i don't think u should be concerned. A 2.0 scanner will work with your 1.0 PB ( - mine does ;) )
You will however need good OCR software (could be in the package, could be the package sucks)
Cheers and good luck searching.

Hi,
I looked into the ECC vs Non-ECC issue a little more. You can use Non-ECC ram in your MacPro but you can't mix and match ECC and Non-ECC sticks. So, if you were to buy Non-ECC ram you would have to get rid of the ECC ram that's already in your machine. This combined with the fact that error checking ram is preferable to non error checking ram, I would say just spend the extra money and get proper ECC ram. Also, it really isn't that much more expensive.

I don't remember the paper, but my friend gets it delivered in Draper.
It said you guys were up playing games on a projector and smoking meat or something. Sounded like a pretty good time lol.
I showed up at 4:15PM and was behind about 900+ people!
I'd like to read that if anyone can find it.
Ya some guys brought a big party tent and had two projectors in it. One had XBOX 360 and the other Sportscenter. They also brought a barbecue and made everyone pork and bacon and other stuff. They were awesome.
I'm guessing you didn't get an iPad that day, correct?

I wonder if apples hardware sales would start to drop if they were to announce that there will be no more work towards a jailbreak on future devices
nah, i dont think it would be that noticable.
i think about 10% jailbreaks (at least thats what i read a some time ago), and only a fraction of them again would not get an iDevice if it werent jailbroken.

iOS does what NintenDONT, to quote a long, lost video game ad campaign.
It would be nice to see Nintendo games for the iPad/iPhone. But I won't hold my breath. They are a hardware maker, and so goes that. But someday they may have to seriously consider this, especially since every other kid these days has an iPhone, and they are getting them younger and younger. My friend's 7-year old wants one.. an iPhone that is.

Well, I have a slightly used 16 GB iPhone, for sale.
I got it for my father right when the 16 GB version came out alongside a 16 GB for myself. However, my father quickly declared he preferred his old Blackberry even though he was given the iPhone, and I was paying the bill! ha-ha.
I then considered using a second iPhone myself as a business only line, but I have decided that is unnecessary and not very convenient, so here it is for sale. You know it's not super old cause the 16 GB hasn't been out very long.
I had put a slider case on it, so like the flat chrome around the front face isn't perfect anymore. There are marks on the flat chrome parts as said, but beveled chrome and and the front in general looks shiny and clean. The screen is perfect. No scratches or anything in the screen. We take pretty good care of stuff being Mac and in general Apple fanatics.
The back next to the Apple logo has a couple smallish marks/scratches (they are hard to see in the photographs bit easier to see in person), which was also from the slider case I believe. I'm returning the slider case cause of this, but it's nothing too dramatic. Still much better condition than most used phones I think you'll find and how many have 16 GB of storage? I love my 16 GB.
Just want to give the full heads up, since I'm pretty obsessed about things looking good. Some of the marks in the photos are just lint or fingerprints, but ask many for any specifics. I've tried to outline what I see above.
I have attached a couple photographs.
*** Oh yeah, the original box is included of course, and it even has the unused black cloth, the Apple stickers, *never used* earbuds, plastic wrapped dock, plastic wrapped power adapter, and USB cable. So the packaging will be like new (most of those items have never even left the iPhone box cause already had cables, dock, earbuds and power adapter).
I am selling it for $450, plus $10 ground shipping, for $460 total. At first it sounds like only $40 off, but remember all the sales tax you're saving, which is probably about another $40 depending where you are, so it is potentially $80 cheaper than a new one, and obviously this one isn't very old itself.
Oh, one more thing. It's always been official on the AT&T network. Never been unlocked. So you can just get a new AT&T sim card or whatever, put it in the phone, and activate with iTunes. Or you could unlock it or whatever, but on my end that has never been done. Its been official all the way.
So go ahead and private message me offers. Obviously paypal is how I'd like to do the transaction, and I can give my ebay user ID 100 percent after 80+ transactions, for feedback rating, or refer you to someone I've sold an iMac to on here.

Apple's market share of desktops is pretty small, and smaller in the enterprise, but it's high on laptops, very high on the upper end laptops, very high on smartphones, extremely high on portable music players, extremely high on tablets.
And in any case the question is: does Apple make money?
The answer: Yes.
Yeah they're selling tons of MacBooks, 13" MBPs and Airs!

I see, thanks. So I take it without these adapters I can't use any 3rd party RAID solution for HDD's in the four internal bays as by default the hard drives in those bays just connect to the internal PCB channels and SATA power which are both located on the backplane, but with the adapter (for power only) it creates some space for me to connect the SAS cables from the controller into the hard drive sata ports.
Yes.
The kit includes all the cables needed to connect the disks to a 3rd party card (gets power off of the backplane board <where the disks usually plug into>, and uses a break-out cable to attach the disks data signals to the card). They make room for this via the drive mounts (fit shallower than the stock units to allow for room to plug the data ends into the drives).

I tried using iCal when I first switched over in '06. I integrated my Google calendar with it, but stopped using it because I often access my calendar in places other than my home computer. So I stuck with Google calendar and its "cloud" capabilities.
I know I can get MobileMe to access my iCal anywhere, but I rather not pay for a service when there's free (though shoddy like google cal) alternatives out there.
Two words for ya... Mobile Me. Sign up for the sixty day free trial, rumor has it that it's going to be free May 18 th or so. I use it for everything. Wednesday I left my company laptop at home, wasn't a big deal. All of my email accounts go through it, plus iDisk, iCal, and my address book were all accessible from another computer. I love how my iPad, iMac, and Winders laptop all stay in sync (to include bookmarks) effortlessly. Even if you don't get it free, retailers sell it at a discount.

If they put it on that is a huge plus. I ordered something similar were you have to spray and squeegee. It ended up in the trash after 15 minutes
I recently purchased and installed the black icarbon with much better success. I like the look and feel. It has a bottom cover as well but I did not take a picture of that.:apple::D

Ah, I think this is the issue I'm having! I also want to jailbreak and unlock. Does anyone know where I'd find the iPad baseband files for a 3GS on 4.3.2 running 05.16.02? Thanks in advance!
Only 1 file to be used on this. Ipad 1 3.2.2 firmware. So, google it and you should be able to get it to your PC.

Im going crazy trying to set this up. How do i know the range of dhcp ip addresses my router gives out? my router ip is the same as yours.
What router do you have? Your router should have a configuration page where you can look and see what IPs it's giving out. Or just go into system preferences/network on your mac and look at your IP and the router IP address.
