I had a 10% off coupon for buy.com, so I just bought it off them - I'm assuming that you already sold your iCurve anyway, cuz I would've rather bought it from you than from buy.com!

What a news story. Closest the "article" comes to a source is "supposedly".
Why would he release a jailbreak for 4.3 tomorrow when 4.3.1 is imminent? A vulnerability was found publicly at pwn2own that needs to be patched by Apple. Burning another vulnerability would be dumb. Sorry, just sayin'. It's not gonna be tomorrow.
I'm sure whoever posted the link to yet another lame !@#$@ iphone blog is just trying to drum up business for their site.
Oh what a surprise, ad banners and no news.
You know it's a crap site they are posting when they have to obscure their domain name using a url shortener.
Another person added to my ignore list. They clearly have nothing to add to any discussion here.

So: I do believe I can have both Bootcamp and Fusion.. Do they both access the same "Windows" install where I can see my files and stuff?
Yes. More info here: http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1014618
Install Boot Camp normally first then follow the additional steps in the guide.
There was someone who managed to do the opposite. Launching their native OS X install in Virtualbox while booted to Windows, but that is a hackintosh-style operation.

I went over to Illustrator, which I was trying to avoid and produced this arrow. It's OK but wondered if you can move the origin of the dashed line starting position, because when it kicks off from a corner or point, it can end up leaving a gap at an important change. I also noticed a small 'crack' in the dashed line on the right of the arrow head - peculiar.
Any way, I'm still keen to find a quality Photoshop solution if someone knows how.

I'm on the West Coast, and at the time, worked a swing shift, so I was soundly asleep at the time. Until...
A friend (who is/was an unemployed night-owl-to-the-extreme,) called me and said simply "Turn on CNN!" Being unhappily awakened at 7:00 AM, I groggily, went "I don't have cable." and almost hung up. He then (understandably) annoyedly replied with "I don't care, turn on.. Anything. The Pentagon has been attacked." (I imagine he had just turned it on, and they were covering the Pentagon at that moment.) So I went out to the living room and quietly turned on the TV. (I had a friend fresh from college living on my couch while he searched for his own place; he also had a swing shift job.) Obviously, I was stunned. It was NBC, and they were showing the smoking ruin where the first tower was in the process of collapsing. My friend/temporary roommate was just waking up, and looked in stunned silence. (I was also too stunned to say anything.)

What he said...
You mean AppleCare? That's not included, but I can dig-up the purchase date and see if it's still eligible. I didn't purchase Acare because it was too large a percentage of the total cost of the laptop when new and I figured I'd take my chances, knowing that it's not "super expensive" even if I had buy a completely new MB down the road.
Now, the MBP I'm getting to replace this... that might be another story ;)

I notice that the fingers in the diagram look small. A little research shows the average male index finger dip joint (last joint at the finger) is about 1cm long. Doing some quick calculations, assuming ANYTHING in the diagram is to scale, the device seems to be about 7" tall. The current Ipod is 4.1" tall. Also, the diagram shows the ability to add to playlist, which leads me to believe it is more than an ipod... perhaps I am completely wrong, of course
that reminds me.... does anyone remember when Jobs was previewing GarageBand PodCast maker? His Super Secret Apple Rumors?
Hi, Im Steve and welcome to my weekly podcast, Super-secret Apple Rumors. I have some pretty good sources inside Apple, and the next iPod is going to be HUGE, like 8 pounds See you next week.
Well... He's probably talking about something else.
Instead of 10,000 songs in your pocket it'll be 8 lbs in your pocket. Not too fun.

There are threads here that talk about what PITA it is to replace the hard drive in a 2010 mini. Considering it myself. I might just wait to see if apple puts a sandy bridge 4 core in the next update. The current hard drive is slow. If I do any upgrades, will put a 7200 hard drive and replace the optical with a ssd drive. I already maxed my ram to 8GB.
When will be the next update??

are the games getting better, though?
Yeah... I think they are and I think we'll see a huge evolution here as more and more companies see the opportunity.
Personally, I think companies like Nitendo should embrace this change as an opportunity and start porting popular titles to the smart phone platforms. Again, maybe not right now, but they should see that as a path they will have to take.
Along with this, baring any major changes in technologies like AppleTV or new products, I think the advanced game systems like Xbox, and Wii still have a market for the serious gamer.

well what do you think?
The game is great looking visually, but I personally don't care for flight games. The last game based around planes that I enjoyed was U.N. Squadron on the SNES. That game was awesome.

iPod killer... yeah, right.
Why is M$ even competing against Apple? They should be bold enough to create the playing field... like they always did... wait...

The last line of the first rule in style.css seems to be one of the culprits.
html, body, div, span, applet, object, iframe, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, img {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
border: 0;
outline: 0;
font-size: 100%;
}
If you change the value of font-size the fonts on the page adjust accordingly... except for the page you go to after clicking on Submit, where the Main Menu and Contact Info font size stay constant no matter how much you fiddle with that value.
Somewhere that font-size rule is being altered by another rule. Unfortunately there are so many levels of nesting in the HTML markup and unused selectors and rules in the .css files that I cannot even begin to guess at where that is happening.
My only suggestion is to make a new stylesheet with only the rules the page is using and then comment them out one by one, until you find the offender.

Also, it won't give you the same style of selective focus as a tilt-shift lens. A tilt-shift lens allows you to shift the focus around in a line where a Lensbaby moves the focus around in a circle.
I wish I could find some example photos showing the difference but there don't seem to be any.

so ive got about 6217 files that are mpeg. I have so many different ranges of music on my ipod its killing me in my truck with things sounding better then others. So my question is and I dont know if this will help but should I just convert my entire music library over to aac? I have already made a back up of my music folder and went ahead and started to convert. If you folks say this is good then I will just go ahead and delete and move to trash all the mpegs.
Let me know please

A long time ago I disassembled my powerbook cause it had a lot of problems, and I lost the cable that goes to the pram board/battery. THe battery is dead anyways.
I plan on using this machine as a simple "airport express"-esque itunes music player controlled by my ios device with Remote. display is bad, keyboard is bad, trackpad, etc. I will shed the os of anything unneccessary and optimize for shear itunes playback performance and that's it.
Anyways, can I ditch that pram battery board without any real issues?
My guess is it will fail to boot without a PRAM battery or may have startup issues. But I don't know for sure.
Cheers

Exactly. Not exactly a shocker considering the considerable price drop to some reasonable figures.
Not just the price drop, but performance improvements as well. I had an orig. MBA, and it was a piece of s***. My new MBA is a pretty nice machine. Nice enough I sold my iPad to finance it.
