Here's a fixed version for you.

While the cameras flash did go off, it couldn't overpower the sun and remove the shadows so I just cloned them out. Hope this helps.
Thanks so much! I owe you big time. Have a great week!

I'm trying to work this out from the Apple site but am banging my head against a brick wall.
My friend at work is wanting to buy a Mac and some other bits from Apple for his kids to use. One is at Junior School and one at Secondary School..... do they qualify for the Educational Discount??
Everything I see on the Apple website says "I'm over 18..."
Thanks,
Sreedy
If know one knows then I guess I'll ring them.

Hi everyone,
I have Logic Express on my Macbook Pro but now I need a keyboard/speakers etc to be able to use it. I have no idea what to get - to be honest I want the cheapest possible just to get started as money is tight at the moment.
I'm a keyboard player so eventually I'd like a keyboard with weighted keys but it doesn't have to be to start with.
So: what keyboard? speakers? anything else?

If anyone gets an idea from Apple on the amount of stock they have at the store please post so those of us that can't come down until later today know our chances.
Thanks guys, wish I was there already.
They give us no clue on stock. We did see some unloading things, it looked like quite a lot.

You couldn't even spare $10 to $15 per year? I certainly wouldn't recommend using free hosting.

I also recommend OWC (http://www.macsales.com/). I have 4 extgernal for my three Macs and one is 5 years old and still going strong. Plus the company includes cables for every port that is on the external.

I was at work in the City of London. Actually I remember I had just popped out to buy a birthday card for a friend so I was in a card shop at Leadenhall Market when I first heard the news on the radio. When I got back to the office a few mins later there were people gathered in reception watching the news reports on tv and everyone was so horrified. Later that afternoon we were all sent home as there were fears of potential attacks on London - particularly around the financial centres in the City & Canary Wharf.

Go look at Pages; Word's been the "standard" for years and Pages can write Word documents. I'm sure if Lasso, Numbers, Charts, etc. will also be able to save in Excel documents. I believe AppleWorks can, and if this is a step up, and since the world has moved a little more, there should be no problem with Excel and Apple's new application.
Hopefully, but Open Office can do a heck of a lot, and few have adopted it. For Free !!!
I agree that if Lasso, Numbers, Charts, etc. can save in a format that is pallatable to Excel - it will be more likely to succeed, but after second thoughts, I realize Apple will need what Open Office doesn't have: Marketing Dollars.

If it's a copy protected dvd you can use MacTheRipper to get the disc on your HD, it's free but you'll have to google it and hunt down a site as it's being "banned" and shifting all over, or PM me and I'll send you the dmg

Yesterday my web host upgraded CPanel and disaster struck. All of my passwords nolonger worked. Tech support fixed that for the most part except that FTP access was killed. By evening I had FTP access, cool. But this morning I discovered that on two of the sites, that had started working again fine last night, are no longer allowing me FTP access. Comparing the FTP (I use Fetch) transcripts for an account that works and one that doesn't I see two extra commands being given:
PORT 10,0,1,2,97,212
200 PORT command successful
LIST
The one that works (blacklightning.com) pops up the list of files and directories and I can do stuff. The one that is failing hangs on "Getting File List..." which is the LIST command after it executes a PORT command. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and what the PORT command is? Why is it happening on one and not the other? Both are being initiated identically asside from their different userID/password, etc. I have tried this with passive mode on and off.
Thanks,
-Walter

I was in school, which starts at 8:00. When we arrived there was nothing going on. 20 minutes later there were about 10 police cars on the grounds and a bunch of parents shouting "Wheres my kid!" - the school refused to tell the students anything for fear of the kids being scared. Don't worry: the constant showing of two buildings falling scared everyone anyway.

Ok so heres the deal I have a 2010 Macbook, with Windows XP installed through parallels and Windows cannot recognize my disk drive on my Macbook. Is there anyway for me to make it recognize it. Well frankly I don't know if its recognizing it or not... I tried to play a game for windows using it and when I started the game it said please insert disc. So I took the disc out and put it back in. Still nothing, any help?

In my experience I just want one source that will familiarize myself with a particular API, just to let me know what's available and the common classes and uses. Then from there it's just a matter of reading the documentation to work with the specific uses I have in mind. For objective-C it was the first few chapters of Hillegass, then for iOS it was the Stanford Courses on iTunes U, and for cocos2d it was this book.
The thing with programming books is that they become outdated pretty quickly, so the documentation is going to be a better place to find information. What I do find useful about programming books is to point me in the right direction to get started. For example with cocos2d I learned the basic building blocks CCNode, CCScene, CCLayer, CCSprite, CCDirector. Then once I knew those classes existed, I knew where to look in the documentation to write my own code.

This is how I think it'll work.
You'll search for a location and then you click "Photo's took in this location."
Providing people who've took photos in that location have shared there photo's.
Imagine searching Google Maps/iPhoto for Photos in your favourite nightclub?

Yep - they get downsampled to 16bit / 44.1khz, just like AirPlay via Apple TV or Airport Express..

I've always wanted to know what people here are doing with their old Macs when they aren't used as primary computers anymore. I know a ton of PPCs go to work as a secondary computer, but what about those that go to serve another purpose?
I've been particularly interested in iMac G4 mods, but as of late, I'm wondering what others are doing with all of their old computers. Any really cool mods, or ideas out there? I think this would be a good place to share the stories.
There are many who want to give their PPC Mac the Intel upgrade, but I'm particularly interested in seeing all those Macs that have gone on to live totally different lives. Let's hear it!
